It hurts so much when they're gone.

For the first time in many years, we have a new pet in our house: a dog that my daughter's boyfriend gave her. Much to my regret, I didn't want any more dogs in the house, because when they leave, it hurts so much.

So, Howzer arrived. I think I mentioned him once, or maybe my daughter did. He is a Siberian wolf. They brought him when he was two months old, and now he has been with us for four months, making him six months old, but what a life! At first, it was distressing because when he was brand new, he got sick, so my daughter took him to the vet, and he followed his treatment as he should, and since then, everything has been fine.

When he was born, there were four in his litter, but one of them, the whitest one, wasn't born with the same weight as the others, and it was as if he was born with an unfavorable destiny, since it took a long time for him to be adopted.

Days and months went by, and that little dog was still in the house where he was born, until a friend of my daughter's boyfriend asked for him and he was taken to the town of El Dorado.

He arrived to see if he could replace another puppy that had died, but that wasn't the case, because the couple who asked for him had a pinscher that died for reasons unknown, but then they didn't want this new puppy, which they named Ares.

When my daughter went to spend a few days with her boyfriend in El Dorado in August, she took Howzer with her. While they were there, the two dogs met, and it was as if they knew they were brothers because they played and ran around together. I think those were the only moments of happiness Ares had.

Animals, especially dogs, know when they are loved and when they are not. I think Ares felt that he was not loved by the boy's partner. He still felt sadness for the one he lost, and after that, it seems that Ares' arrival did not change him.

He did take care of him, but he did not give him love, he did not talk to him. He wanted him to be returned, but the boy said no, as he works in the mines, he could not keep him with him.

Time passed, and recently my daughter was told that Ares was sick, apparently with distemper. They took him to the vet, but the vet said that it was already very advanced and there was nothing else to do but put him to sleep.

I didn't know him, only through the photos my daughter had and what she told me, but I felt so sorry for what happened to Ares.

Even my daughter's boyfriend was upset about it. Although he hasn't spent much time with Howzer, he looks after him when he comes over. They spend time together and sleep at the house of my daughter's boyfriend Juan's grandmother. I miss him on those days, but I also get a break, because he has no peace or quiet, ha ha ha.

I help my daughter with him when she is in class, but the main responsibility is hers; it is her commitment. However, everyone loves him, even my mother, who is his great-grandmother, hehe.

It so sad to read this story...Sorry for your lost...it's so much hurt when they leave and become part already of our life..the feeling of emptiness is different and it carries a lot of weight in us..
Hoping you're okay in the next few days... Godbless

Greetings, my friend.

Well, actually, the puppy wasn't mine, but we can't be so insensitive. Since we knew him because he was the brother of the one we have at home, I was very saddened by what happened to him.

That's when I wish I had a lot of money so I could have lots of dogs, because it's not just about having them and letting them go without, but also about taking care of them, feeding them, and giving them lots of love.

Chuncky, our dog also left us, it was so painful as this dog was so cheerful and loves to greet us when going home and follows us when going out those golden memories are cherished sorry for the loss
