Max got his first walk on the beach today since lockdown. He was so well behaved, I think it’s better when I walk him alone without Minki. She wait anxiously at home with her favourite member of the family, my son Seth.
Max is still very aggressive and unsocialised towards other dogs due to his unknown upbringing and now adoption, so we find the empty wide open spaces of the far end of the beach and take a wide berth around any other dogs walking along the shore.
He’s a little trooper and was so proud when we got home to see Minki.
Night night!

Max in the beach amazing
Aah thanks! We are 600m from the beach so we are very lucky to live here.
Close to the beach! There's nothing like it. We live about 32,000 meters from the beach.. hehe. My wife likes heading down there throughout the summer. Maybe one day we will live closer. Close enough for now.
Max is a cutie. Our Pepper, who recently passed away, liked the beach but was also very anti social. His aggression was more of a protection measure. He was a lovable creature who loved other dogs until he was attacked by two other dogs. His anxiety increased after that and I can't blame him. He never showed that aggression/anxiety to humans though.
Glad you enjoyed the beach walk! I'll have to check out your BB in case we plan a trip to South Africa after the Covid hype has died down.
Yes! You must! Although we have tenants in place from this week until the end of October. November to March is out high Summer season and it’s gorgeous!
I think Max is the same. It’s more out of fear that he is aggressive to other dogs. He’s amazing with people and so friendly. We aren’t sore what his home life was like before we adopted the pair so anything is possible. But he’s learning to relax little by little.
He really is a cutie. Given the shot you took of him planting a big kiss on your face, I can see he loves his mom. Give him a nice pet on the head for me. I'm glad he found his forever family and now can live his life in a loving home. Enjoy your summer! We are in the middle of Winter here.. Can't wait till warmer weather.
