福岡県飯塚市では、ブロックチェーン上でさまざまな証明書を発行する取り組みが始まることがわかりました。

この管財サービスは、飯塚市によってデジタル署名されたデータと、証明書概要（要約）証明書の元帳に記録された日時を格納するタイムスタンプメカニズムに基づいています。

市内にはブロックチェーンに関する共同研究が可能な大学がいくつかあり、起業家支援のためのメカニズムと設備があることを利用して、学習、研究、起業家精神と実証実験、およびブロックチェーン技術ネットワークの環境を提供します。

文化と創造性のある国際情報産業都市を目指し、2003年には政府初の構造改革特区として「飯塚アジアIT特区」に認定され、2013年にはアメリカのシリコンバレーのひとつとなったサニーベール市との友好交流協定の締結、2016年のツインシティ協定の締結など、最新技術の導入を目指し、地域の復興に取り組んでいます。
