Many thanks for tagging me! First of all, I do not take myself out of the correct grammar, spelling or expression in English, as I am not a native speaker myself. 😄 I also do a lot of things with a translator and then read over it again.
I've also been on Reddit for a few weeks now, perhaps a little shorter than you, and share the various Hive blogs there. I have to say, I haven't quite figured out yet which blogs work on Reddit and which don't. There are various reasons for this, mainly because there are so many different subreddits, all of which have different rules. Sometimes I also find it a bit random that blogs are removed, especially if they have a good upvote ratio and there is also a good exchange in the comments. But maybe I'll have to give myself a bit more time and then I'll figure it out. I mustn't forget that I was never on Reddit before and didn't have an account. That's why I'll take your points (shit grammar, shit language, useless AI driven content, useless (re-used) content, wrong or bad researched content) with me.
I also completely agree with you on the point that we talk/write a lot about ourselves on Hive. When I have some time, I scroll through different communities and see which blogs might have potential to be shared on Reddit. I personally come across a lot of content about the Hive blockchain itself or topics/projects related to Hive. Personally, I'm no better, so I mostly write about Splinterlands. That's because I came across Hive through Splinterlands and still invest a lot of time in the game. It would certainly be better for sharing on Reddit if more was written about other topics. But I don't know if it would actually help the Hive Blockchain. Unfortunately, there are no direct figures, but I would be interested to know whether or how many people actually use Hive themselves when they come across a Hive blog via Reddit.
Thanks mate (you are German as well :-)?) -think we agree in general.
I am not saying all here should only write about stuff un-related to Hive or let us drive by Reddit like potential content - SPL I wrote daily when I joined but that is past lol.
But i think (see that on Facebook, Twitter / X and everywhere) - content should not be circle about our own niche environment only - if we keep that we will always remain a niche - it is cool as community to encourage each others but we might wanna reach a next step that in an ideal world everyone uses Hive as they now use Facebook - if we get there and people in addition understand the metrics, key system of Hive, how to join, what PoS means, what crypto means and as a result they feel comfortable to be here and feel safe that would be perfect - a topiuc many people alrady discussed.
Getting people to try is easy, but mayn just leave after some weeks as of frustration or because they do not understand Hive.
I am sure @acidyo has maybe ideas on how we could convert and retain new guys - but I also do not knopw any stats a bout the Reddit visitors and whether they / some create an Hive account.
Not criticizing folks here - appreciate this initiative a lot - to me one of the best program to attract people and / or make this chain visible to the outside world. But as always, requires work and as we are de-centralized we need to work as a team as wen can not expect one person is doing all the work :-)
sorry for furhter grammer, typo failures
Yep 😃
I absolutely agree. When I think back to my beginnings on Hive... Others would have given up long ago. It's simply not comparable to creating an account on Facebook and the like. And creating a Hive account is not the end of the story. You first have to understand the upvote system, save your keys, and so on and so forth... But I think that's another topic.
I'm also glad that Posh exists. Any effort to get new users on Hive is good for now. Even if the success rate may not be promising. But as you have already written. It's hard work and everyone has to pull together.
Danke Dir - sehe ich alle ähnlich :-)
