Russia's censorship is all around the corner, and it is now preparing to disconnect from the global internet tweeted by Anonymous (https://twitter.com/LatestAnonPress).
The war between Ukraine and Russia made it ahead by 10 years as internet censorship is already part of the world problem, however, today is a country and all its citizens will be facing the consequences of this centralization dilemma from the Big Tech companies.
If censorship is possible within a whole nation then it is more possible on a single helpless individual like you and me, if they feel they like to censor you then it is only one button in their remote control.
Anybody can verify it but it looks based on what I am reading is Russia will be disconnected from the global internet from March 11, 2022.
If you are somebody living in that country, I don't know what is the best advice I can give to you because personally I cannot imagine myself living in a place disconnected from the internet or maybe I am only overreacting for we still do not know what is the possible scenario of having no internet until the date comes.

I tweet commented under this post with a threaded tweet, I intentionally put the hive_blockchain Twitter handle that was managed by @niallon11 on a second tweet to avoid shadowbanning. We know that the #Hive tag also was somehow hidden on Twitter so we are trying to experiment and mix things to be able to reach more eyeballs as possible

You don't quite understand the situation. Russia does not want to disconnect from the Internet. She fears that they will cut her off. Therefore, it is recommended to go to the .ru domain zone, to use DNS servers that cannot be affected in other countries.
In Russia, for a long time there has been a service that blocks individual sites at the provider level. Such as warez torrent trackers (by the way, the blocking was removed from the most popular after the software giants left). Sites of illegal online casinos, it is quite logical that they block sites with illegal pharma, drugs, weapons, CP, sites inciting ethnic hatred and terrorists in packs.
They often make mistakes, the biggest mistake I remember was blocking the cloudflare dns server pool, which led to the unavailability of quite high-quality sites.
So there has been censorship for a long time, but a deliberate disconnection from the whole world - no, this is not about that.
