I was told Creative Commons images can't be used for commercial purposes, and because articles on Hive earned money, you can't use them here.

    👍 This is (partly) true for Non-commercial CC.

    But you can use Non-commercial CC under fair use, lol - at least, in some countries. Quite confusing.

    And secondly it MIGHT be that posting on Hive blog isn't more commercial use than posting on X or IG... But let's leave this to lawyers... I am not well informed in this field.

    I just stopped using CC images, as didn't want to be downvoted by the Hive police. Can't be too careful!
