x-rain, help! Am having problems with redditposh comments not appearing. Have tried deleting and resubmitting to no avail.
I think you said elsewhere there was a new system for handling this?
Here is the reddit submission, and the article:
Edit: David has just posted the link using ecency and that did generate a redditposh link.
So do I lose credit for this, even though I shared it at 6:41 GMT and he shared it at 10:00 GMT? Feel a bit miffed as the article is getting a lot of upvotes...
@rose98734 unitedkingdom subreddit has blocked redditposh from detecting shares, i tried too on unitedkingdom and doesnt work, it happens that they block the bot sometimes when they get annoyed by hive links, it's a gentle invite to stop posting there, change subreddit
They haven't deleted the submission, and I didn't have problems generating a redditposh link there last week.
They don't delete the submission, they prevent the redditposh bot to catch the share... I know, i shared there something some weeks ago but they can block later, it's a thing mods can do
Yes, when you don't receive a redditposh comment but your share is successful (let's say 100+ upvotes), you can post a link to this Reddit share below your shared post and tag me and Acid.
In this case, you can post this
Add a screenshot of the share as well.
Post this below the shared post https://peakd.com/uk/@candy49/the-bank-of-england-has-now-reversed-gbp300-billion-of-quantitative-easing
You might get a big upvote from OCD below this comment.
r/unitedkingdom previously deleted a couple of share of mine, and the reason was "we don't want links to opinions, we want links to news". Your posts are full of data so they can be considered analytics so the mods tolerated them. Still they are not news from news outlets. It could upset the mods after they realized you aren't a random visitor but a regular poster. Or the mods could ban something not even connected to Hive. Saying this because we encountered subs that didn't allow Redditposh comments from the very beginning.
I've been a member of the unitedkingdom subreddit for nine years and have a lot of karma for posts and comments there as I post a lot of non-hive stuff too.
The article I shared is still up and the mods haven't contacted me.
My problem is that the redditposh bot failed to leave a comment on the hive article, which means I won't get paid for the share - so the issue is the bot. I'm sure you said some months back that there was a workaround if the bot failed? (The bot was working for that sub last week)
I wrote you about this - check my second comment.
