RE: 2.7 Million Views for Hive Links on Reddit This Week! Join HivePosh to Earn Rewards and Win Prizes! 👇 HivePosh Contest #34

in HivePosh4 months ago (edited)

Hey! Not eligible for the contest because both shares are (much) older than 11 days.

Here I can't see a Hive link, only a Medium one:

http://reddit.com/r/TwoXChromosomes/comments/1ikzu35/how_a_water_bottle_label_made_me_rethink_body/

And here a link on the very bottom of the full or almost-full copy-paste from your Hive blog - that's against the rules either (read the rules in the post above).

This blog mentions hive in body of post and also has hive link.

It generated good traffic for hive at that time too.
I didn't wanted to share them as contest entries. I was showing them as my Highest views reached till now.

If I will submit entries, it will be according to rules. Thanks for revising rules for me.

Got it. My fault - you didn't mention these were your entries for the contest.

Impressive number of views!

Check comments, is it good for hive marketing? I am curious about your views on this matter. 🤔

My personal opinion is that we should discuss whether it's okay to share images of photographers this way. I think it's not. Sharing snapshots from the kitchen illustrating recipes - yes. Sharing real photography (like wildlife photography) - no.

"You guys get off my turf!!"

Made me think about how we r representing hive.

Good one - never thought of this but you are probably right. Photography shares will anyway not result in major views as most subs require to upload photo vs a link!

I see u edited. It was a human error and understandable.

The Nestlé blog was very old content and I am not sure if posh works on content I wrote years ago so I didn't added peakd link at that time. Nor I was thinking much about hive/medium when I did it.

But the same medium blog contains hive blog's link as ORIGINALLY POSTED on hive.blog on x date and if u click hive.blog, it redirects to hive

So it's like click funnels.
One reddit takes to medium then that medium took to hive.

Still hive marketing indirectly in my opinion

It's also effective to market hive on medium although I get algorithm reach limited for importing and not posting original content.

But the same medium blog contains hive blog's link

Got it!

to market hive on medium

It would be perfect. I say this from time to time but find no support - Hivers normally don't know about Medium.

Let me quote my recent comment :D

Thousands of people from Medium would be happy to write posts on Hive. Medium people are better for onboarding (imo) than Reddit users - Redditors are often conformists, following the crowd, while Medium users are content creators searching for opportunities.

I have to restart my medium activities besides reddit or hive
