There are several challenges we face as blockchain gamers. Currently, I am playing splinterlands, Rising star, Champion Strike: Crypto Arena, and Every Farm blockchain games regularly. Previously I also played some blockchain games such as Thetan Arena, Metarun, Cryptomines, Drugwars, etc.
In Blockchain games we may invest money to earn playing games, so we do investment which is at risk. Because most of these games may not survive longer. I do notice it with Every Farm game, previously I was earning 2.5$ a day, and in very few days price dropped, and my earning were reduced to around 1$. Now it's very low still I play Every Farm game, but for very small time around 5-10min daily.
Splinterlands is a good game for me as it gives a good return on my investment like SPS staking and Liquidity that I have provided. The main thing with splinterlands is that it is a very old project and still running and will be also running in the future.
Cryptomines and Thetan Arena game was the failure for me. I also made investment in cryptomines and thetan arena games that time and couldn't recover the amount. But eventually I learned from all this. Thetan arena game was very entertaining that time and enjoyed playing it, but now not playing it and I don't think there is any earning possibility left in thetan arena game.
Challenges as Blockchain Gamer
1. Initial Investment Risk:
When we invest in new games, basically you put money for risk. But yeah to earn something you need to take risk. Risk should not be more than that you can not afford.
2. Complexity:
Blockchain games are more often very complex than usual games. It take lot time to understand game in the initial stages. Also we have to regularly check update and changes. Blockchaing game uses blockchain technology that could be difficult for new users.
3. Limited Good Blockchain Games:
There are limited blockchain games that are good and legit. It's hard to select good blockchain games especially if you are new in blockchain gaming.
4. Hard to Learn If you are not familiar with Blockchain Gaming:
If your new with blockchain technology then you have to learn many things like how to set up wallet, buy and trade cryptocurrencies. Sometimes it can be hard, so you need to watch videos and tutorials for that.
5. Security Risk:
As crytocurrencies (money) involved in game, so it can be highly vulnerable to security risk such as hacking or bugs. As a gamer you should be more cautious about the security of your in game assets.
6. Volatility
Cryptocurrencies which are used in blockchain gaming can be highly volatile. There can be huge price change in these crypto in time period. It difficult to calculate accurate value of in-game assets and may lead to significant losses or gains depending on the market.
7. Transaction Fees
High transaction fees is the main issue with many games. Still there are few blockchain network provides low or zero transaction fees. So it is good for blockchain gamers to try games on these networks.
