Grocery buying from Local shop

in Indiaunited4 days ago

Hello Hive Fam!

Hope you are doing well and having a great time wherever you are in the world.

We are in the era of e-commerce or quick commerce where delivery is done on a very short span of time. I mean it is like we can get the delivery done in less than 1 hour and some of the applications like blink it and Amazon are offering fastest delivery she is happening in 15 minute or half an hour. All the options are available for people to buy things online and get delivered at home which is convenient but I still feel visiting local shops that are nearby is a good idea sometimes.

Sometimes I order online when I run shot of time but when I have enough time then I walk around and buy things from the nearby local shops. I also observe that the prices are better in local market and sometime these online applications charge more. Why these application charge higher MRP without offering any discount and they also charge some delivery fee and I'm not talking about the surge pricing which also happens sometimes especially when the weather is not good and it is raining outside.

Today I had to buy some grocery is tough so I went outside to a nearest shop which is around 500 m walking distance from me. It is at traditional software almost everything is available related to the grocery items and they also accept online payment through upi and obviously cash is always accepted. I purchased whatever is necessary and made the payment using vti which is convenient so I felt like I should be doing this quite often and not just relying on this delivery applications.

Online things are really convenient but because of these online applications the physical activities are reduced and this is why having a balance between both his good idea and I am thinking that going forward I will try to buy such things from the local shop wherever I have enough time or atleast I am getting a crazy online deal then it's obvious.

It took about 15 to 20 minutes for me to buy these things done and making the payment which I think is okay because even for the delivery apps I need to wait for about 20 to 30 minutes it's all good the only difference is that I had to come outside work around for buying the stuff which is good in a way because this is how at least I am adding some steps to my daily routine.

Wow! Thank you for posting these pictures, grocery shopping looks very different in your part of the world! Our grocery shopping is totally different looking and even outdoor bazaars look different, something like this:

Here at my place different types of shops are available. The one I visited is a traditional shop which is not looking fancy but there are fancy grocery outlet as well. I will try to share more in future blogs.

The photo you shared is nice and I think it's convenient to buy anything that is needed because it's all available in open and visible.

We also have these types of shops in villages

Here also these types of shops are mostly in villages and small towns.
