Most of us use smartphone in our day to day life and it is obvious that we also use various social media mastiff applications like WhatsApp telegram etc. currently there is no rule for these applications but looks like India as a country is trying to set as some guidelines for these applications to be followed.
Whatsapp is a very popular messaging application worldwide. This application has got over 2 billion monthly active users globally and this makes the application such a popular app worldwide in the segment of social media messaging apps. This application is currently owned by meta which is the same company that owns Facebook and Instagram.

Following the new guidelines for WhatsApp the web version of WhatsApp application will logout every 6 hours and this is going to be implemented because of the ongoing scams and use of the application without even active Sim. The government has also instructed these applications to stop providing services to the inactive sim. All these majors are taken by the government to reduce fraudulent activities and let's see what impact it brings. While the government is also working to introduce CNAP which is a service that will display the caller's registered name on screen without any third party application.
I use web version of WhatsApp everyday because it's convenient when I am working on computer and I don't need to check phone for sending and receiving messages. But this 6 hours of logout will not be a problem for me but it should be reducing the users who are not using the active Sim for which they have created whatsapp account. May be this will make things better and reduce the fraudsters and fraudulent activities that we never know. Thank you!
