Why Wisdom is very profitable to any leader.

It was an interesting moment in the church today, activities from the soul-elevating praise and worship ministration, impactful prayer session, and the joy that comes from seeing your fellow brothers and sisters in the Lord in good health looking radiant always bring a sort of calm to my heart because surviving in our country right now is never easy, so when I see others still putting up a smile, holding unto hope and believing in change to happen in our country very soon, it gladdens my heart

One event that particularly motivated me to create this post was the way my church leader/Pastor applied wisdom in solving an issue that arose among the women's group in church and might have possibly caused cu

About two weeks ago, all women were asked by our women leader to contribute a certain amount of money to get matching African print fabric which we would use in making beautiful dresses to grace the Mother's Day occasion coming up in one month, which isn't a bad idea, looking colourful and radiant in the same type of fabric sounds like fun for the women's day, but considering the hard situation of the country right now, not everyone can afford to buy this fabric, not because they don't have the income but because due to the inflation, most people are left with no choice than to only afford basic wants sacrificing needs, and this very demand of matching Ankara fabric was not a necessity, the problem was some women who couldn't afford the fabric and was ashame to voice out their minds or how they felt and just easily accepted to join the group of women that insisted we all got the fabric.

It was surprising when our pastor called for a meeting with the women today, and with his words of wisdom, he advised that the pressure on women to get ankara fabric for the upcoming Mother's Day celebration be canceled for now, that he sensed a lot of issues will arise from this demand like people going out of their way just to feel among, some others might avoiding church totally because of the shame of not blending, he further went on that there were better things we should focus on now, and spending such amount of money for a day celebration was not worth it at the moment, we have school fees to pay for our children, their feeding as well, and done women are just housewives with no source of income, and would likely pressure their already pressured husband. He went on with his words of wisdom so women for or oppose the idea of getting the same fabric for the occasion don't feel offended.

It amazed me, because I saw the true qualities of a leader in him, As I reflect on this experience, I am reminded of the profound impact that wise leadership can have in overcoming complex challenges and encouraging peace and unity within a community or congregation in this case, Our pastor's ability to empathize with the diverse needs and concerns of the congregation, coupled with his commitment to prioritizing the well-being of all members, serves as a powerful example of servant leadership in action, there was agreement and peace among the women at the end of the day, and we all concluded to put on any best dress we had at home, no need putting ourselves and family under unnecessary pressure at the moment, as we pray and hope the economy situation of the country gets better, then we can get started on this idea again. His leadership not only resolved a potential source of conflict but also strengthened the bonds among the women and unity within our church at the display of such wisdom. As we move forward, we continue to have a strong faith in him and principles of understanding, empathy, and mutual respect, knowing that together, we can overcome anything by being guided by a leader with wisdom.
