If I Could Talk To My Younger Self

Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. There are a lot of things I will tell my younger self if I had the opportunity to tell. One of the major ones was that I wasn't being the real me. When I was younger, I usually displease myself inorder to please people around me especially my friends. I had the fear of being abandoned by them. So, that was the more reason why I hold on way too tightly. I didn't realize earlier enough that not all persons are meant to stay in our lives and should let go of those that wants to leave.

When I was younger, I was too afraid to fail and take risk. I kept on worrying about the future and felt like i was all alone. I didn't listen to my heart and gut. I kept on spending extravagantly on material things which are nowhere to be found now. I didn't save for the future, I just kept on spending at the moment.

Again, I wasn't able to express myself, I didn't realize that voice and outspokenness matters. Another point here is that I will tell my younger self to be strong, never let anyone make you feel like you don't deserve to be seen, and never settle for less.

Dear younger me, if only you knew how much you would grow and how much you would change, I wish to sit beside you now and tell you that everything will be okay. Thank you so much for reading. I invite my friends @nellybestie @chilucky @faithgifty34 to share their thoughts on this contest.
