Hive—Built For The People.

What a great topic to write about.
Now, I believe most of us started from places like 2go, Eskimi...then we graduated to Facebook, Instagram, X and the like. That was where everybody was, and we can't deny that it was fun, not until a shift began to come and we realized that they were using us much more than we think we were really using them (those platforms). Most of the things we posted on there were really for them, not us. Coupled with the fact that most of the things we do and see, including how far our posts can reach, the kind of people who can see it, and all, are being controlled. Also there, you really need money to promote your content and allow it to go far.

Then, hive came about, and it was all different. When I got to know about Hive and explored it, one of the first things that hit me was the fact that you own it. I mean the ownership feature it offers, come to think of it. On Hive, your content is yours; there's no means for anyone to shadowban or delete it, and there's no need for you to pay to reach a wider audience. The only thing about hive is the fact that you bring value to the system; when you do that, you grow, because on here, your growth depends on the value you bring to the system. And that alone gives hive an edge over any centralized media platform.

I have read the stories of a lot of people on here, I have heard from some, and I have seen some. I have seen how they grow from being shy writers to becoming so confident, because aside from the fact that this space rewards them, it allows them to be seen and heard. This place doesn't silence voices; rather, you even get noticed, people interact with you genuinely, you build connections, and all. Talking also of the comment section on hive, it's a safe haven, somewhere like home where you get to interact with others and all. There, there people meet, discuss, rub minds, discuss trending issues, and respond with love. On other centralized platforms, it is mostly emojis you get as a response or some bots doing their work, but here, you get humans.

There are times that we even have some weekly hangout sections, like the @sam.hangout where everyone feels alive, we share our minds and perspectives freely in the comments section, and we connect. I can tell you for free that you won't see that kind of genuine, free, and community-driven discussion on most of these centralized platforms.

Now let's talk about earning structure. We can't but talk about it, as it is one of the things that sets hive apart. The fact that you can freely express yourself on here and still get rewarded for it is something different. Here, they encourage consistency and creativity. Hive gives a lot of us hope, especially young people like me who are trying to balance life, passion, and survival. And instead of giving your energy to a billion-dollar company that has never once noticed you, why not switch to one that allows you to build something, something that's yours?

Now, talking of the future of hive, we can't deny it's a very bright one. Web3 is still young, but we can all see that hive is already here, living what others are still promising. And the more people come to understand the value of ownership, transparency, and freedom, the more they will move from a centralized platform to a decentralized one (hive) that offers all of that.

We can say it's not as flashy and all as the likes of Instagram and co, but then I'd rather be a part of its growth than be part of one that only looks good on the outside, but inside of it is something else. Hive is here, and it has come to stay; it is not going anywhere. Its story is still being written, and I'm so proud to be part of its chapters where people have finally seen, known, and realized that the real social media should belong to the people and not the system.

You're absolutely right, hive is about the value we bring and how we grow. One thing I love about how, they make the shy people to be confident and they don't silent voices. Everyone voices are heard and everyone posts are read which I truly appreciate about Hive. Hive also connect us with people who later turn into someone important to us, that's so amazing of Hive. Also, hive allow us to earn through our posts which I doubt other platforms are doing. Hive platform is the best. 👍👍👍👍

Exactly ma'am...
I love how you put it all together and nailed it.
And of a truth, hive is one of a kind. The best I must say.

Thanks a lot for your thoughtful words.
