The web is an interesting place where diverse things happen. Ranging from legal to illegal deeds, the activities that happens in the internet has grown to the extent of knowing no bounds.
Artificial intelligence is now the talk of the town as it makes things way more easier and faster. Rumors has it that, with time, it would make a lot of people jobless, but then, when you look at it from another perspective, there is literally a low possibility of it doing that.
Web 3 is a very interesting part of the internet that brings decentralization to the table of its users. Rather than a platform where one person has the most control, web 3 has removed the power of centralization from one person, and presented it to the users to do what they want with it. Literally, every single person has a say of a given situation without being scared of someone blocking their accounts.
Hive as a web 3 platform has broken a whole lot of limitations. Its features are mind blowing. On a normal day, I would actually not compare Hive and many other web 3 platforms because hive's superiority is very obvious.
Nonetheless, in this post which is an entry for India United contest, Comparing Hive with centralized social media platforms, I would write on my thoughts on comparing Hive with other centralized platforms. I would write why I prefer Hive over those platforms.
I have not been on hive for a long time. I joined in the early months of 2022. There are many OGs here on hive that would answer better than I would, however, with the little experience I have of hive, I would share a few features that makes hive better than a centralized platform.
The first in my list is decentralization. Basically, decentralization is the opposite of centralization. In a centralized platform, and individual or a small group of individual have the ultimate say. The platform thrives by their leadership which in most cases restricts the users from doing or saying a lot of things.
Hive on the other hand is actually very different. In hive, decentralization is bliss. Transparency is the order of the day, and everyone is free to do as they want, and say what they want given that their actions will not negatively affect the platform.
There are many different Dapps in hive. Threespeak, Decentralized exchanges (like hive engine, beeswap, and tribaldex), there are hive games where people play2earn, and many more. In hive, we have features a centralized exchange could only dream of having.

Honestly, hive platform is far more better than the other platform. Reason because we all have a say and free to do whatever we want to do except what will go again the rules, hive has truly helped me a lot.
