MY INSPIRATION

Everybody has the goal of becoming a big person in the future. A person who is very valuable and worth the praises of the people in the surrounding. some are still in the process of getting this accomplished, some are still making plans and they are just started while some have already accomplished this feat. Irrespective of what a person wants to be in life, there is always a trigger to make such decision. This trigger may be a good or bad scenerio but all the dame, it helped and served as motivation to accomplish what you have planned over the years.

I did not actually have the zeal to be what i am today. Nursing just as many Nigerians, is seen as a course for women and as such, it is very rare for a male to enter into nursing. Just like other people, i had no intentions of studying nursing and i wanted to be an economist.
Well that changed when i saw the state of women in my community. The women in my community lack basic knowledge about their health, and as such the spread of diseases was inevitable. A person will always fall sick because minor issues. they knew not how to take good care of themselves when they are pregnant. they do not even know how to prepare for pregnancy. The rate of maternal mobility and mortality was gradually getting high and will get out of control if not properly taken care of. Traditional birth attendants were the reign of the town but their care is not quality enough as it lacks tender loving care. The entire community was always complaining about the lack of nursing ethics by the traditional birth attendants. Instead of nursing to be seen as the hero it is, it was seen as a practice that involves angry people who shout at their patients in the ward. The pregnant women prefered to deliver in the house instead of going to the hospital for bettter care.

Seeing this, I decided to be a health provider and show not only my community, but the entire world at large that the practice is not only a beautiful one, but actually a sweet one. Nursing is actually the best course there is on earth yaknow.

After joining the profession, i realized the reason why some nurses may be mean to patients. Some patients can be really annoying to take care of and they forget the fact that Nurses are humans too. Well, no matter the situation, in will always practice the profession with love and care towards my patients, there by making a change.

Much respect, bro! The Nursing profession is not an easy one, and I know some patients can truly be so annoying. I salute every nurse who is caring, kind and patient. Some are not.

Though not everyone has the patience an sometimes, we nurses explode out of frustration. I'm glad to see that someone has respect for nurse.

Thank you for stopping by

And see this man protecting the interest of nurses because he's a nurse too.
I hope you're not like those that transfer anger quickly 😂

This man 😂😂😂😂😂

If I don't protect the interest of nurses, whose interest would I protect? Haha

I hope you're not like those that transfer anger quickly

We all humans yaknow. You wouldn't want to sit on nobody's nose and balance, thinking that fire don't burn. To respect the profession, I will let it slide but don't try it when im not practicing. Haha

It took me awhile before accepting the fact that a guy could also be a nurse, I have always believed the profession is only for females. Apart from the way nurse treat their patients sometimes, one of the reasons why women decide to use the traditional means for their pregnancy is usually the cost of services rendered by hospital, most women can't afford it.

You are right ya'know. This is where the government needs to do something.
Though they is something called the National Health Insurance Scheme. With this, every single person can get access to health at a cheaper rate where ever they live or work. The discount is massive.

All you need to do is register with some money, renew yearly and boom, you'll access health services from professionals at a very very cheap rate.
.you may be paying 20k for a treatment worth 200k yaknow

Yeah but the issue is how many people are aware of this kind of scheme in the health sector.

The NHIS has recorded many people who make use of its services. Though it has not reached many places round the country
