Balancing faith life with daily grind can be tough, especially when work's demanding,but am promising myself this year am going to try my positive best.
making promises to myself for the year ahead. New Year resolutions. I always do it every year, hoping this time I'll stick to them.
Why Resolutions Matter.
Resolutions are about acknowledging where we are and deciding where we want to go. They're like a reset button for habits, goals, dreams. For some, it's about getting fitter; for others, learning something new or cutting bad habits. Whatever it is, resolutions push us to aim for better.
My Resolutions This Year
This year, I want to focus on balancing my work life, because , Last year was hectic juggling deadlines, missing making dinners with family. I want to fix that. Pick hobbies back up too. Been meaning to get back into reading learning my talking drum too.
One big thing I'm adding: balancing my faith life with daily activities. Work's been keeping me in the shop all day, and it's affecting my spiritual life and time with family. I want to carve out moments for faith, maybe daily prayers, attending a weekly fellowship, or just being more present with family. Getting this right feels important.
The tricky bit with resolutions isn't making them it's sticking. We start strong, then life happens. Gyms are full in January, empty by March. Why? We forget why we started.
So this time, I'm trying something: tiny, doable goals. Like, closing shop early and try to attend may be one weekly programme and create one day in a month for my family for outing
Am trying to make It Stick,this time am telling my children so they we be the one broadening and remind me of my activities.
Why It’s Worth It
Resolutions are like planting seeds. Some grow fast, some need time. But each step's progress. Even if I don't hit every goal, trying pushes me forward.
This year feels like a fresh start. A chance to shape things how I want. I believe its not about perfection 🙂it's about direction.
Resolutions are promises to ourselves. Maybe this year, I'll keep mine.
