Hello everyone,
How are you all? I hope everyone is fine and doing great in their life.

Today, I had a very interesting day in Splinterlands, and I want to share one of the battles I played. This battle clearly showed why the Thick-Skinned modifier requires very careful monster selection. This modifier gives a shield to every monster in the battle.

In the screenshot below, you can see the battle lineup. My team is at the bottom of the screen, and the opponent brought Aurelia as the summoner. If you look closely, both the opponent and I used three monsters each.
The opponent had Dread Tafarian, which also had a healing ability. At the start of the battle, I felt confident that I would win.
The reason was simple. Two of the opponent’s monsters had only one attack power, and only one monster had three attack power. Since all monsters had a shield due to the Thick-Skinned modifier, those two low attack monsters were dealing zero damage to my team.

This meant that only one monster from the opponent’s side could actually damage my monsters.
In the screenshot below showing Round 2, you can see that my expectations became reality. All my monsters survived, while the opponent had already lost one monster. In the final round, I still had all my monsters alive. Even though Dread Tafarian had a healing ability, the opponent struggled badly, mainly because the monster selection was not done carefully.

This battle clearly shows that in a Thick-Skinned match, where damage is reduced by 50%, monsters with only one attack power become useless. If a monster has just one melee, ranged, or magic attack, it will deal zero damage. That is why you should always choose monsters with at least two attack power in such battles.

Apart from this battle, I also had a good day in Splinterlands for another reason. I won my second exclusive Foundation card, and I was very happy about it.

In the screenshot below, you can see the rewards I unpacked. I won an exclusive Foundation card from the Water element, which made my day even better. Along with that, I also received two rare cards.

Overall, this was a very satisfying day in Splinterlands, and winning another exclusive Foundation card was the perfect bonus.

Now talking about my terracore base, you can see in the screenshot above the attacks from my base where I used all my attacks but still I was not so happy today as the numbers are very poor and I expect more than twice this number in the loots.

In My Golem overlord base you can see that we did not win any shards in the game because of the penalties but we still use more than half attacks in the game and that is how we won a little of parts as you can already see in the screenshot above.
Thank You, that is all I did in Splinterlands, terracore, and Golem overlord base today.
