Greetings!
The new year, new system popular saying to me is not just an ordinary saying but a saying that goes a long way in shaping the lives of the individuals who have made it into the new year.
However, first and foremost, I want to thank God for keeping me to see the new year and if not for his grace, I would not be here tonight to make another new year resolution not to talk of sharing it with us.
Having said this, I would like to delve into the subject matter of the topic, which is about, “A fresh start: new year resolutions.”
To start with, I will say that I don't really have so many new year resolutions which means, I'm not coming here with a long list, but just a list which I believe if properly executed will change everything about me and my life.
That one resolution is, “proactiveness.” Over the years, I have been indulged in what is called procrastination and this has really affected me and my way of life and even relegated me to my current state.
I have lost so many opportunities just because of me postponing things I ought to have done immediately and this is how I have been living my life.
However, coming into this new year, I have decided not to come into the year with a long list as I know that I may not be able to do justice with the long list, but instead, I have only come with just a resolution which I know that if I'm faithful to, I will thrive and there will surely be a purposeful change in my life and that resolution is “proactiveness.”
I have seen people thriving just because of their prompt response to happening and situation around them and just because of this, I'm very sure if I too can join the group of those that respond promptly to happening and situation around them positively then the sky would be my starting point in this new year 2026.
