When will we wake up and see that we have gotten peace on every side? When will our countries be in peace? For quite sometimes now, I have heard of wars and war-like situations all over the place. We are been terrorized from every side. Can we not have a peaceful world anymore? Have we really come to the end of the world? I cannot help but ask these questions because peace is very far from our society in this present world. What we are hearing and seeing in the news is nothing than conflicts and wars all over the world. The peaceful world that we used to have has been eroded by the spirit of unhealthy rivalries.
What we are bothered with is far more than the story of the present war that we can even cite. In my country, we have not have a perfect dose of peaceful co-existence for a very long time. At one time, a wave of terror came upon us. We started seeing what we did not used to see. Some elements began to terrorize our communities, parading themselves as herdsmen. Truly, these guys were not the kind of herdsmen which we know. These ones were deadly killers. They rendered many people homeless. So many farmers lost their lives. They invaded communities and slaughtered worshippers even when they were in churches. What can we say about such situations? Is that not another form of war?
We just need the intervention of the Almighty God. To some of us, we do not actually understand these things. It is because we have not been there. War is not a good thing. We do not want it. When will it ever end? When will the warring parties sheath their swords? War means no good to us. War destroys our environment. War causes us loses not gain. We have had enough wars in the world. I think that it is enough, and it is time we learn to exist together peacefully. The countries of the world should work towards preserving our environment rather destroying it through the activities of war.
