Introduction
Good day to everyone, hope your Monday had been good so far. It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this post and you can see from the title that this will be the last update for dCity
What is dCity?
The game is a city simulator game based on Hive NFTs where one can create a city the way we want it to be. As players develop and grow their cities, optimization is needed in terms of buildings, city population, the income that the city yields and technological developments. While many aspects of the game can be calculated based on the simulator within the game, there is a portion of randomness in the form of crisis event which can bring different kind of impact to city which affects income or popularity. If you like the original SimCity, I am sure you will like this.

The Short Journey I Had
The city that I built from scratch with the aid and guidance by @ryosai had got me to where I am today for my city. It had been something that I enjoy playing and even had active discussions with others about the game. I enjoyed how the city grew, how we see new citizens becoming students and students entering the workforce, coming in with various job roles and adding vibrancy to the city.
However, 5 days ago, a dire announcement had been made by the owner of the game that he will be killing dCity.
It is very sad news for players whom love the game. And when we thought there will be season 4 cards coming out, the game took a plunge and will no longer be available. By typing dcity.io in your browser will lead you to beeswap instead of dcity itself.
There have been discussion and rumbling going around due to how hive engine will be like moving forward in terms of processing blocks and that potentially will make it hard for the game to survive.
While the journey for me is short as I only started early this year, the game did come along way for many especially for those whom came in when it first started. With just a simple interface, there is so many permutations that can come from it and so many ways you can build your city.
Ingame Achievement
To give myself a target for playing the game, I wanted to be part of the SIM Millionaire Club and hence I set a goal for myself. From almost nothing, I am glad that I have managed to get myself to almost 73% of my goal that I set for myself.

Passive Income Plan
I remembered when I first started the game, it was shared to me that there is liquid hive drip that will happen daily after accumulating 8000 SIM and increases with bigger amount of SIM that we accumulate. And so I embarked on this passive income building through building up my SIM. It might be not be as substantial as I wanted it to be, but it is still something in the making and on the way towards trying to gather enough liquid in a month and fund for my Hive Power Up Day to do some power up.
But with the game coming to an end, this passive income building will need to look for alternative projects to replace and build up sufficient liquid hive by month end to do power up.
Closing
While it is sad that an amazing game needs to come to an end, I would like to thank a few people whom have helped me along the way in this journey:

I think it is definitely a tough decision by owner. But definitely a nice experience for the past few months.
Been pondering over to start playing the game but I guess no chance for now
