I just worked a bit more on https://localprayers.net, and now it also works if you don't want to or can share your location: someone in your local community can share the place for the location (it doesn't come really precise at all) and the devotional meetings in the region will show up. I also added a bit of context to the page on how to get started.
At some point I will have to think about a good visual design though... and probably backporting some stuff to whenwhere.cf... Although I am thinking about rebranding it together with the backport and the visual changes.
What would you call a Hive service that enables you the equivalent of Facebook local markets and other "corners", and Foursquare and the likes?
