In some cities they're already testing those delivery drones/robots and self driving cars.
We already got those shopping carts and self checkout cellphone apps (latter even in the store I work) so not that far off.
Hopefully it will turn around at some point. As long as we don't lose the human contact I think technology can be a blessing but it's the moment we dive into it and lose touch with our surroundings when it gets dangerous.
