Lilac and Bruce are racing through the woods, on two extremely fast horses bred and trained for jumping. Behind them are armed and dangerous criminals. Will our heroes outfox their pursuers yet again, or will they be brought to ground? Find out below, in this action packed episode of The Goddess!
Lilac was loving the exhilarating ride! Bruce wasn't so enthusiastic, barely clinging to his horse's mane, and ducking branches every time he tried to watch where he was going.
Eventually the horses tired, and Bruce sighed in relief. Lilac brought her horse alongside Bruce's, and they trotted, eating up the miles.
"Where are we?" Asked Bruce.
"Away from the bad guys?" Replied Lilac.
Bruce scratched his head. "Yes, but where? We can't stay out here forever. We don't have any food or water, and no way of taking care of the horses."
"This is England, Bruce. In South America we could travel for weeks or months without seeing another person. But not here. We will come to another estate sooner or later."
"I hope it's sooner." Grumbled Bruce, noting that the sun was directly overhead.
They found a small creek, and stopped to drink, and let the horses drink and graze on the small amount of grass along the banks. Bruce and Lilac sat under a large tree, enjoying the peaceful scene.
Suddenly a large red fox zipped under Lilac's horse's legs! She had been loosely holding the reins, and got to her feet an instant before it reared. She calmed the animal, skillfully bringing it back to four legs.
Bruce had tied his horse further away, and it was just mildly curious.
Seconds later, they heard hounds baying in the distance...
