Onboarding a friend is actually not as easy as I had hoped. But it helps me to reflect on what it's all about.
It's not like I need to explain what Resource Credits are, which is RC, and what that has to do with VP and HP. I did that the other day at https://noise.cash/post/0q7x4pxc6wx0 and noticed how I continually strive to encourage people for access to things that have become quite normal for me. Whereby I see how much I too am still at the beginning after all - celebrating each new discovery.
However, all this does not seem to me to be the real hurdle for that friend (and many others) to open an account here and blog. Yes, it has a lot to do with resources. But what I discover is not primarily technical.
So I was asked what is this number at the bottom of my invitation. Yes, that is the amount paid out for publishing the post, exactly seven days after initial publication. And it's non-custodial! Seven days. Payout. Boom! However, it is not a payout for publishing alone.
The amount is split between the curators, the authors, and the beneficiaries of authors. This can look very different. You haven't been a curator yet? Says you!! It's the same as giving out stars, hearts or thumbs on other networks. Recently, whole armies of emoticons. (The emoticons are here again something completely different, as for example !popcorn @tipu !invest_vote or curangel.)
So payouts are made to all participants as far as they have "skin in the game" themselves. And that without advertising, if you want that. There are now hundreds of so-called frontends that handle the underlying data chain. And there aren't just blogging front-ends for a long time.
The basis is a public ledger*. And that word doesn't come by accident. Because that is the essence of the question implied at the beginning. Why should I blog here?!
The answer I find here is that we are creating something permanent. A monument. And we also bring the funding right along with it. You can start without investing any money. It's all here already and it's growing every day. And not because it's not backed by anything. But because it is backed by communities of people who (mostly) interact peacefully with each other - not backed by oil, uranium and war.
And because it is something permanent, it is also good and welcome to reflect on how it is something permanent. I mean, I'm not writing this in the blue. I'm writing it in a notebook. Then I'll transfer it to a pad like HackMD or Confluence. For sure I will have read it a few more times until you see it here now or it is read to you.
Maybe I'll show it to friends or maybe I'll even share it in advance with some curators I know. These might encourage me to revise it again in one way or another, or even discard it and start completely differently.
So to summarize again: What excites me most here is that we are creating something lasting together. And instead of resorting to classical methods of financing, a very own economy grows and flourishes, far away from oil, uranium and war. It is not so much a matter of getting off to a perfect start - as can be seen from my own start, which I recently reported on at https://noise.cash/post/rg4x6q7br0n3
It is more important to simply start, to enjoy the benefits and also the challenges, and to grow a few meters again. Just as each of us has learned to walk or communicate in one way or another. And the next biggest attraction for me is to connect the different "social media". So using social socially, rather than merely socializing.
And if you follow my Instagram channel, you'll see that some "social media" don't like it when other social media is referenced. Then only tricks help, of which I have already tried plenty. But in the end all this is of no help if the attraction of familiar media and means is so great that you don't read this here. But don't be in a hurry, it won't disappear anytime soon.

Einen Freund bei Hive Einschreiben ist tatsächlich nicht so einfach, wie ich es mir erhofft hatte. Doch es hilft mir grad, zu reflektieren, worum es dabei eigentlich geht.
Es ist nämlich nicht so, dass ich erst erklären brauche, was Resource Credits sind, also RC, und was das mit VP und HP zu tun hat. Ich tat das neulich bei https://noise.cash/post/0q7x4pxc6wx0 und bemerkte, wie ich kontinuierlich bemüht bin, Menschen für Zugang zu ermutigen zu Dingen, die ganz normal geworden sind für mich. Wobei ich sehe, wie sehr auch ich doch noch immer am Anfang bin - und jede neue Entdeckung feiere.
Das alles scheint mir jedoch nicht die tatsächliche Hürde zu sein, damit jener Freund (und viele Andere) hier ein Konto eröffnen und bloggen. Ja, es hat sehr viel mit Resourcen zu tun. Doch was ich entdecke ist nicht in erster Linie technisch.
So wurde ich gefragt, was diese Zahl am Fuß meiner Einladung ist. Ja, das ist der Betrag, der für das Veröffentlichen des Beitrags ausgezahlt wurde, genau sieben Tage nach Erstveröffentlichung. Und zwar non-custodial! Sieben Tage. Auszahlung. Boom! Es ist jedoch nicht allein eine Auszahlung für die Veröffentlichung.
Der Betrag wird aufgeteilt zwischen den Kuratoren, den Autoren und den von Autoren Begünstigten. Das kann sehr unterschiedlich aussehen. Du bist noch nicht Kurator gewesen? Das glaubst du nur!! Es ist das Gleiche, wie in anderen Netzerken Sterne, Herzen oder Daumen zu verteilen. Neuerdings ganze Armeen von Emoticons. (Die Emoticons sind hier noch mal etwas ganz anderes, wie beispielsweise !popcorn @tipu !invest_vote oder curangel.)
Ausgezahlt wird also an alle Beteiligten, soweit wie sie selbst "Skin in the Game" haben. Und das ohne Werbung, wenn du das willst. Es gibt inzwischen hunderte sogenannte Frontends, die mit der darunterliegenden Daten-Chain hantieren. Und es gibt lange nicht mehr nur Blogging-Frontends.
Die Basis ist ein Öffentlicher Ledger*. Und dieses Wort kommt nicht von ungefair. Denn das ist das Wesen der Anfangs angedeuteten Frage. Warum sollte ich hier bloggen?!
Die Antwort, die sich mir hier zeigt ist, dass wir hier etwas bleibendes Erschaffen. Ein Denkmal. Und wir bringen auch die Finanzierung gleich mit. Du kannst starten, ohne Geld zu investieren. Das ist alles schon da und wird jeden Tag mehr. Und das nicht, weil es nicht gedeckt ist. Sondern weil es durch Gemeinschaften von Menschen gedeckt ist, die (meißt) friedfertig miteinander interagieren - nicht von Öl, Uran und Krieg.
Und weil es etwas Bleibendes ist, ist es auch gut und willkommen, mal darüber zu reflektieren, inwiefern es etwas bleibendes ist. Ich meine, ich schreibe das hier ja nicht in den blauen Dunst. Ich schreibe es in ein Notizbuch. Anschließend werde ich es in ein Pad wie HackMD oder Confluence übertragen. Ganz bestimmt werde ich es noch einige Male gelesen haben, bis Du es jetzt hier zu Gesicht bekommst oder es Dir vorgelesen wird.
Vielleicht zeige ich es Freunden oder vielleicht teile ich es gar im Vorfeld bereits mit einigen mir bekannten Kuratoren. Diese könnten mich bestärken, es noch mal auf die eine oder andere Art zu überarbeiten oder gar zu verwerfen und ganz anders anzufangen.
Also nochmal zusammengefasst: Was mich hier am meisten reizt ist, dass wir gemeinsam etwas bleibendes erschaffen. Und statt dabei auf klassische Finanzierungs-Methoden zurück zu greifen, wächst und gedeiht eine ganz eigene Ökonomie, fern von Öl, Uran und Krieg. Dabei kommt es nicht so sehr darauf an, einen perfekten Start hinzulegen - wie zu sehen ist auch an meinem eigenen Anfang, von dem ich neulich berichtete bei https://noise.cash/post/rg4x6q7br0n3
Vielmehr kommt es darauf an, einfach anzufangen, um in den Genuss der Vorteile und auch der Herausforderungen zu kommen, und daran erneut ein paar Meter zu wachsen. Genau wie jeder von uns auf die eine oder andere Art gelernt hat zu Laufen oder zu Kommunizieren. Und der nächstgrößte Reiz besteht für mich darin, die verschiedenen "Sozialen Medien" miteinander in Verbindung zu bringen. Also das soziale sozial zu nutzen, statt bloß sozialisiert.
Und wenn Du meinen Instagramm-Kanal verfolgst, wirst Du sehen, dass einige "Soziale Medien" es nicht gern haben, wenn auf andere soziale Medien verwiesen wird. Da helfen dann nur Tricks, von denen ich bereits reichlich ausprobiert habe. Doch am Ende hilft alles nichts, wenn die Anziehung von gewohnten Medien und Mitteln so groß ist, dass Du das hier nicht liest. Doch nur keine Eile, es wird nicht so bald verschwinden.
