Saludos Queridos amigos #homeedders, sean bienvenidos a un nuevo dÃa de Educación en el hogar. El dÃa de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes la elaboración de un libro educativo para enseñar a mi hijo los cambios que se sufren en la adolescencia. Mi hijo está próximo a cumplir 11 años y su maestra en el colegio ha sugerido que es hora de enseñarle a nuestros hijos los cambios que sufrirá su cuerpo en poco tiempo.
Greetings Dear friends #homeedders, welcome to a new day of homeschooling. Today I want to share with you the making of an educational book to teach my son about the changes that come with adolescence. My son is about to turn 11 and his teacher at school has suggested that it is time to teach our children about the changes their bodies will soon undergo.
Estuve viendo que actividad podÃa realizar para este fin y decidà que la mejor opción era la elaboración de este material didáctico y educativo para preparar a mi hijo para cuando llegue ese momento. Esta actividad la realizamos juntos y mi hijo como un niño muy curioso preguntaba a cada rato sobre el significado de algunos términos y justo allà aprovechaba para mostrarle y explicarle los términos.
I was looking at what activity I could do for this purpose and decided that the best option was the development of this educational and didactic material to prepare my son for when that time comes. We did this activity together and my son, as a very curious child, was asking all the time about the meaning of some terms and right there I took the opportunity to show and explain the terms to him.
Fue una actividad muy productiva pues mi hijo asimiló muy rápido la información y aunque aún quedaron dudas un poco más complejas ya me siento preparada para continuar profundizando en el tema cuando sea necesario. Adicionalmente mi hijo escribió todo el texto en el libro y me ayudó a colorear los dibujos alusivos al tema, lo cual también contribuye con sus destrezas educativas.
It was a very productive activity because my son assimilated the information very quickly and although there were still some more complex doubts, I feel ready to continue deepening the topic when necessary. Additionally, my son wrote all the text in the book and helped me to color the drawings alluding to the topic, which also contributes to his educational skills.
A continuación compartiré con ustedes los materiales que utilice: hojas blancas, colores, marcador negro, foami de color verde, compas, pega y lápiz.
Next I will share with you the materials I used: white sheets, colors, black marker, green foami, compasses, glue and pencil.
Comencé doblando a la mitad las hojas blancas. Luego investigue los diversos términos y coloque a mi hijo a escribir en el libro.
I started by folding the white pages in half. I then researched the various terms and had my son write in the book .
Una vez que mi hijo habÃa escrito toda la información proceso a realizar los dibujos alusivos al tema, y luego mi hijo se encargó de agregar color a cada dibujo.
Once my son had written down all the information, I began to draw the pictures alluding to the theme, and then my son was in charge of adding color to each drawing.
Finalmente comencé a ensamblar el libro y agregar el pegamento para que las hojas quedarán fijadas.
Finally I started to assemble the book and add the glue to fix the pages together.
Y para darle algo más de color y apariencia a un libro, decidà realizar el lomo con un trozo de foami. Quedando de la siguiente manera:

Terminado el libro comencé a charlar un poco más con mi hijo sobre los temas allà tratados, le expliqué lo que es la adolescencia, también hablamos de las etapas de la misma.
After finishing the book, I began to talk a little more with my son about the topics covered in the book, I explained to him what adolescence is, and we also talked about the stages of adolescence.
Hice mucho incapié en los cambios fÃsicos que sufrirá su cuerpo asà como el cambio que se produce en las niñas, ya que quiero que sea comprensivo y empático con sus compañeros de clases.
I put a lot of emphasis on the physical changes his body will undergo as well as the change that occurs in the girls, as I want him to be understanding and empathetic to his classmates.
Asà mismo hablamos de la pubertad como parte de la adolescencia, las crisis que pueden hacerse presente y algunos consejos para los padres.
We also talk about puberty as part of adolescence, the crises that can occur and some advice for parents.
Estos fueron los temas tratados en nuestro libro y asà como yo use está técnica para hablar con mi hijo sobre la adolescencia ustedes podrán educar entorno a cualquier tema usando esta técnica.
These were the topics covered in our book and just as I used this technique to talk to my son about adolescence, you can educate around any topic using this technique.

A very important topic, indeed! This is a topic that for sure needs to be learned from us parents first hand. Sometimes it may be awkward (though it shouldn't be) but if discussed based on science, will be an very interesting topic. Hats off, mama!

Es un gran idea, sobre todo, con este tema tan complicado. Sabemos que todos los niños tienen un ritmo de aprendizaje diferente y debemos adaptarnos a sus necesidades. En estos tiempos, toda la información sobre los cambios fÃsicos y la sexualidad es valiosa, sobre todo, si la orientación viene de los padres o de casa. Felicitaciones, amiga. Saludos.

Si, en realidad me gustó mucho ser yo quien conversara con él sobre este tema, los chicos a esta edad se ponen algo rebelde pero si les enseñamos que todo es parte de un ciclo de evolución el transitar es más llevadero.

Siempre es bueno que los niños escuchen esta información de sus padres y no que la aprendan en la calle, si fue difÃcil sobre todo porque mi niño es muy curioso y aunque está próximo a cumplir los 11 aún lo veo algo inmaduro pero era necesario que compranda lo que pronto comenzará a experimentar.
