El día de hoy les traigo un colorido y entretenido juego didáctico mediante el cual nuestros niños podrán reforzar el aprendizaje de la tabla de multiplicar mientras se divierte jugando con sus amigos o compañeros de clase.
Today I bring you a colorful and entertaining educational game through which our children can reinforce the learning of the multiplication table while having fun playing with their friends or classmates.
Siempre he pensado que las matemáticas deben ser enseñadas de manera divertida puesto que es una de las materias que más le cuesta aprender a nuestros niños y no porque sea difícil sino porque cuando se trata de números y operaciones matemáticas ellos se predisponen a que será difícil de aprender.
I have always thought that math should be taught in a fun way since it is one of the hardest subjects for our children to learn and not because it is difficult but because when it comes to numbers and mathematical operations they are predisposed that it will be difficult to learn.
Por esta razón decidí basarme en el conocido juego didáctico de la serpiente para crear un juego mediante el cual mi hijo mayor pudiera practicar la tabla de multiplicar mientras juega con algunos amigos.
For this reason I decided to base my game on the well-known snake game to create a game in which my oldest son could practice the multiplication table while playing with some friends.
Y lo mejor de todo es que no es necesario gastar en materiales puesto que todo lo que se necesita para su elaboración lo podemos tener en casa. De una vez les mostraré el procedimiento y los materiales que utilicé esperando que se animen a realizarlo en casa.
And the best of all is that it is not necessary to spend on materials since everything needed for its elaboration can be found at home. I will show you the procedure and the materials I used in the hope that you will be encouraged to make it at home.

Una hoja blanca reciclada, marcador negro y colores.

Comencé la elaboración de mi juego didáctico dibujando en la hoja blanca la forma de una serpiente. En la parte inferior le hice la cola que será el punto de partida del juego y en la parte superior dibujé la cabeza de la serpiente que será la meta del Juego.
I started the elaboration of my didactic game by drawing on the white sheet the shape of a snake. At the bottom I drew the tail, which will be the starting point of the game, and at the top I drew the head of the snake, which will be the goal of the game.
Seguidamente procedí a dividir el cuerpo de la serpiente en varias porciones.

Posteriormente en cada recuadro fui colocando una operación matemática basándome en la tabla de multiplicar. La idea es tratar de abarcar todas las tablas de multiplicar y tratar de no repetir tantas veces la misma operación.
Subsequently, in each box I placed a mathematical operation based on the multiplication table. The idea is to try to cover all the multiplication tables and try not to repeat the same operation so many times.
Ahora bien, para tratar de hacer el juego un poco más divertido decidí adicionarle escaleras y serpientes. Las escaleras le permitirán a los jugadores subir de nivel siempre y cuando acierte la operación matemática correspondiente. Mientras que las culebras harán que los jugadores desciendan de nivel.
Now, to try to make the game a little more fun I decided to add ladders and snakes. The ladders will allow players to go up a level as long as they get the corresponding mathematical operation right. While the snakes will make players go down a level.
Y ya para finalizar nuestro juego didáctico dibujaremos de color verde la serpiente, así como también dibujaremos de varios colores las escaleras y serpientes que conforman nuestro juego.

How to Play:
La idea de este juego didáctico es el aprendizaje de las tablas de multiplicar, Así que necesitaremos un dado y varias fichas para que nuestros jugadores vayan avanzando según el número que indique el dado. Si al lanzar el dado nuestro jugador obtiene un número 5 por ejemplo, debe avanzar cinco recuadros y deberá responder la operación matemática que se encuentre en dicho recuadro.
The idea of this didactic game is to learn the multiplication tables, so we will need a die and several tokens for our players to advance according to the number indicated by the die. If the player rolls the die and gets a number 5 for example, he/she must advance five squares and answer the mathematical operation found in that square.
Y así sucesivamente cada jugador debe responder las operaciones matemáticas que se vaya encontrando a su paso hasta llegar a la cabeza de la serpiente. Resaltar que el primer jugador en llegar a la cabeza de la serpiente será el ganador del juego.
And so on, each player must answer the mathematical operations that he/she finds on his/her way until he/she reaches the head of the snake. The first player to reach the head of the snake is the winner of the game.
Pero esto no es todo porque si el jugador se encuentra con una escalera podrá subir de nivel siempre que haya respondido correctamente la operación matemática. Pero si por el contrario el jugador se encuentra con una pequeña serpiente deberá bajar del nivel hasta el recuadro que corresponda.

El beneficio principal de este juego será que nuestros niños puedan reforzar el aprendizaje de las tablas de multiplicar de una manera divertida. De esta manera estaremos también ejercitando la memoria y estimulando la atención y la concentración de nuestros pequeños.

Y no solo podemos fomentar el aprendizaje de las tablas de multiplicar, sino que de esta manera podemos reforzar cualquier otro tipo de operación matemática que deseemos. En este caso yo me enfoqué en las tablas de multiplicar, pero dependiendo de la debilidad del niño se puede trabajar el juego didáctico para reforzar sumas restas e incluso divisiones.
And not only can we encourage the learning of the multiplication tables, but in this way we can reinforce any other type of mathematical operation we want. In this case I focused on the multiplication tables, but depending on the child's weakness, the educational game can be used to reinforce addition, subtraction and even division.
