RE: Living or surviving? Cost of the life in the middle of an economic crisis in the middle of a pandemic.

in Home Edders3 years ago (edited)

You've covered this topic beautifully. It's really an eye opener reading about the basic living reality in your country. Often when I read about the cost of living in many countries, the food prices are much lower than what we pay here in Australia, on average. However, Venezuela's food costs for the most part are looking close to our own. How anyone survives there on the incomes you have is beyond me! I see why Hive is becoming so popular with Venezuelans.

Thank you. It was hard to write because I had to look to the evidences and that's not pleasant.

Yes, that's the reason why there are a lot of Venezuelans here, and why their content is so clean and good as I have read in most of them: They are professionals, nurses, teachers, professors, lawyers, engineers, that can't live from their jobs even when they have some of the international commonly best paid careers.

Hive is like heaven, a safe space to us and we are very interested on help this grow.

In many ways it's not pleasant reading.

It's an interesting thought that with something like Hive were have the investment going in from the first world countries and quite usefully being extracted in places that need it. Could This be a form of ethical investing? 🤔

It could be, Hive is already a way to help people in need but that also have too much to give here in way of knowledge. But I think something important for us, the ones who need this for a living, is to have resources to learn how to do it without harm the ecosystem, because I see this the same as nature, if we just extract the resources without growing them back, it won't be sustainable.

I still don't understand the blockchain enough to be honest, but this is how I see it right now

That's actually a beautiful way to put it. While the blockchain is mostly intangible, that balance is certainly needed.

Well, I'd put it this way: No one can put anything into something and take all of it out at the same time. So as long as we keep in touch, I'd say, take out all you can and make the best of it! We care for it at the same time just by being in touch more and more - without loosing grip in RL. Hopefully. Oh, I promised to be off by now.
