RE: KIDS&MONEY - RULES OF INTERACTIONS & MY OWN EXPERIENCE WITH MY SON

Dfinitely good job showing that money doesn't just come out of the atm XD

I used to pay them pocket money for doing their bookwork (because we all find it completely worthless but at the time it was the easiest thing to show the moderator to "prove" they were "learning"), these days they're getting pocket money for cleaning their assigned rooms in the house (which they will still have to do even if they get jobs, we just won't pay them because they'll have jobs).

My kids are a bit older now so looking to monetise but not sure what they want to do yet as while monetising your own skills is appealing they've watched me run a business and know that it's not full time just doing that thing you love, there's all the mind numbingly boring and pointless stuff to do as well, so they're also looking at getting jobs but that's not really much easier at this stage.

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

it's a great example too! I plan to try it a little later when he is elder.
At the same time we should keep the line...otherwise they won't do anything free, they will expect money all the time;)

I tried very hard to just make them do chores because they have to help out in the house for a little while, and they were cleaning my car and youngest (who is the only one game enough) would clean out the bins for extra money, but after a while it became the only regular income they had so we told them for now we will pay them but as soon as they get jobs or some other regular income we're not paying them anymore but they still have to clean XD

Mine are old enough now to know that sometimes you do things for money and sometimes you do things to help out :)
