This time I decided to present to you a tool that, taking advantage of the World Cup fever where many countries and multiple nationalities of the planet are participating, is ideal to learn and become familiar with the name of some nations using the flags of each one of them, with this entertaining game you can make a trip through many nations using an Atlas book as transportation, where the child, young person or adult must get the flag of the country according to the name it has on the board that we will make in the shape of the world, this way you can motivate all members of the family and friends to participate and learn as many nations of the world; now we will see what we need to make this educational and fun teaching tool.

For the elaboration of this fun and educational game or tool, we must have the following:

Materials:

  • Permanent and acrylic markers
  • Atlas book
  • Ruler
  • Scissors
  • White glue
  • White sheets
  • Colored pencils
  • Cardboard
  • Adhesive tape
  • Boom paper

IMG_20221121_115959_HDR.jpg

Let's explain the procedure:

Once we have all the materials at hand the first thing we are going to do is to draw on the sheet of boom paper a circle that will be our world and in it several squares where the flags will be placed later, also next to each square we will use adhesive tape which will allow us to elaborate a kind of blackboard where we can write and later erase, with the help of our acrylic marker, the name of the country we want.

Now we will take a white sheet and cut small squares to draw on these the different flags of the countries of the world, then we can place it or fix it with the help of our white glue to a small cardboard to make it more resistant and manageable.

The game is that next to each box is placed the name of a country in the world, the participant must take the atlas book we have and try to identify the flag of the same, you can place a different number of countries and if you like a time to get each of them, to identify the country and the flag, the participant or player, you must find the flag of the same and place it in the box that corresponds according to the name, at the end we can see how many you get right and how many not, you can develop as many flags as you want.

This game provides multiple benefits, besides that anyone can participate regardless of age, is a very useful tool, will expand knowledge in terms of general culture and also through this game you can also learn about the economy, location, and many more things of the different nations of the world; the game is very easy and quick to develop it.

Sounds like a fun game! It can be challenging to remember all the flags of the country but I like how you took advantage of the World Cup to study the different flags. For sure the kids will somehow memorize a lot of flags from different countries.

My thoughts were exactly like yours, @romeskie.

Excellent game and didactic strategy to learn children and adults, I loved that you related it with soccer, while I was reading I imagined a fun scenario with the family, and I thought that it could be done with food, characters, spectacular places... Fabulous strategy.

Greetings and thanks for sharing.

Saludos y bendiciones
