I unschooled my kids, up until puberty, because that's when they needed to learn about things I could not teach them. My eldest became captain of the football team, homecoming king, and VP of every school organization, and club, and had a popular band. Mr. popularity. Georgetown offered him a full ride, and no other kid in his class was even accepted into Georgetown. His little brother was even more popular, and was in a band that had >1M downloads of some hit they released.
