The 16th-century tomb of the Mughal emperor Humayun is the first of the great masterpieces of Mughal architecture.
Built entirely of red sandstone and marble, the tomb shows considerable Persian influence.
It introduced high arches and double domes to Indian architecture. Humayun’s Tomb is located in Delhi, India. In 1993 it was declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO (a United Nations agency).
Its unique beauty is said to have inspired several major architectural innovations, culminating in the construction of the unparalleled Taj Mahal.
मुगल बादशाह हुमायूं का 16वीं शताब्दी का मकबरा मुगल वास्तुकला की महान कृतियों में से पहला है। पूरी तरह से लाल बलुआ पत्थर और संगमरमर से निर्मित, मकबरा काफी फारसी प्रभाव दिखाता है। इसने भारतीय वास्तुकला के लिए उच्च मेहराब और दोहरे गुंबद पेश किए। हुमायूँ का मकबरा भारत के दिल्ली में स्थित है। 1993 में इसे यूनेस्को (संयुक्त राष्ट्र की एक एजेंसी) द्वारा विश्व धरोहर स्थल घोषित किया गया था।
