I just recently had a nice correspondence with @brittandjosie.
Many probably know her from her wonderful efforts to grow the community and encourage new entrants. She was upset of me using the introduceyourself tag (maybe rightfuly, that is not the issue).
I was thinking why I did that and though explained in my post I want to light an important aspect imho.
I recently convinced my partner @yaellevy to join the platform. She, too, received encouragement, votes, and delegation and endeavored to produce a connection. Unfortunately the viral effect here is tough and she chose to stay with Facebook where her friends are.
Fighting Hive Attrition
It is important to bring users and it is difficult. That is why I think it is twice as important to keep and encourage those that exist. I see many gaining momentum in joining that is slowly disappearing. I see many who invest in posts and get no exposure and no return. Sometimes like me they use tags to attract interaction. It is important as a community to support and generate value for veteran contibutors as well.
We are still in a fragile stage and need to continue to strengthen the good spirit until virality does its thing and produces the abundance that will bring stability.
Goodmorning great that you put it into a blog and don’t worry I was not really upset! Great you told the platform the problem. I see that you used the #introduceyourself tag AGAIN so maybe I wasn’t clear enough though you don’t need that tag anymore.
Getting people here well that’s tough, and you saw that with Yael, I think that when I see the work that’s here after the new arrivals are here so I decided to help out on the threshold of the new world of blockchain. Not that I know all.
There can be said so much about when new people arrive, a lot of people jump the wagon without reading the white paper for one and just try. Half of them will fail! Second if you are her for quick money well than you are in for a dissapointment , it’s more than on FB and TW but still , when you want to make some hive treat it as a JOB
Be engaging every single day , be a daily blogger , be in discord to see what’s happening bts , be involved in projects and learn.
Learn and earn was a contest I did while back funny I get to think back on it at this moment.
Back to hive, we have a team in the terminal discord @theterminal where we help FOR FREE with all the questions that people may have. We invite them when they arrive and when someone wants to learn they will There. Besides that READ people Read ! There is so much possible, there is so much available but there are so many that just don’t! That way the road to becoming more that a redfish is hard.
Fighting Hive Attrition had to look this up and you are right but the platform still does well even with a low price ( look at the power up at 1 November in hive pud that was huge ) so dont think that Hive Attrition is it but we need to keep FIGHTING always !
