As for learning about Social Capital... This is the sort of thing that's learned by watching carefully. Keen observation.
I started learning about it when I worked on a golf course over a decade+ ago... It's one of the reasons I decided to launch my fitness business over 10 years ago! I watched how the wealthy patrons did business. Then later I met my investment mentor and learned even more.
Business and investing go hand in hand with personal development. And I have found them to be excellent catalysts to learning more about the powers of social capital.
And if you are interested... A recent book I just finished reading by Guy Spier's talks A LOT about this subject.
