Hola, mis queridos amigos de Hive, feliz y bendecido día para todos.
Hoy quiero hablarles de una historia muy emotiva que sucedió en mi ciudad hace aproximadamente 3 meses. Les relataré brevemente la historia de Valiente, el caballo que apareció en el Paseo Virgen del Valle.

Mi ciudad es una división entre zonas urbanas y llano, alrededor de la zona poblada hay muchas fincas y terrenos desolados, como llaneros que somos, siempre estamos en contacto con el ganado, los caballos y otros animales de corral. Yo soy amante y protectora de los animales, pero de todos, al que más amo, es al caballo, por considerarlo un ser noble, puro, fiel, por su elegancia, su porte, pero sobre todo por tener un gran corazón, un espíritu de lucha, con una fortaleza indescriptible, y capaz de brindar al hombre su mayor apoyo en las batallas más fuertes de la vida.
El ser que posee un caballo a su lado tiene mucha suerte, no entendería jamás cómo alguien podría abandonar a su destino a un ser con tanta nobleza en su alma.
Valiente comenzó a ser noticia en nuestra población, cuando algunas personas avisaron por las redes sociales que habían observado un caballo caminando solo por el Paseo de la Virgen del Valle, que es uno de los sitios emblemáticos que posee la cultura tigrense, en honor a nuestra patrona, la Virgen del Valle. Otros usuarios de la web manifestaron que el animal estaba herido, pero que no alcanzaban a verlo bien porque estaba en el solar que quedaba detrás del paseo. Una de las fundaciones de protección a los animales que se encuentra en la ciudad, acudió al llamado y salieron a buscarlo, pero no lograron encontrarlo a pesar de las horas de búsqueda. Al día siguiente, continuaron la jornada para hallar al caballo, y al fin pudieron encontrarlo detrás de una construcción de la zona. El animalito estaba muy mal herido, tenía una gran abertura entre el pecho y el vientre, y estaba muy infectada.

Los rescatistas agotaron todas las medidas posibles y lograron trasladarlo a un galpón de un voluntario, y se procedió a la revisión de la herida, su alimentación y demás cuidados para tratar de salvarlo. El veterinario que lo atendió no daba muchas esperanzas, la herida era muy profunda. Durante todo ese tiempo nadie reclamó al animal, a pesar de la gran difusión que todos le dimos a la situación, nunca hubo alguien que manifestara que el caballo era de su propiedad y que había escapado o algo parecido. Lo llamaron Valiente, porque sólo un animal con gran valentía pudo sobrevivir de pie a tanto maltrato y abandono. Para todos fue la historia más triste, no concebíamos cómo alguien había podido tener un alma tan fría para dejar tirado a su suerte a aquel ser tan bello y noble, en medio de una tragedia tan espantosa. Durante muchos días los veterinarios, proteccionistas, y voluntarios, hicieron su mayor esfuerzo y le pusieron todo el empeño a la tarea de salvarlo, en algunos momentos se veía que respondía a aquellos esfuerzos, pero llegó un día en que Valiente no pudo más, perdió la batalla, simplemente quiso descansar, y agradecer a toda la gente buena que lo auxilió, las muestras de amor y bondad que le profesaron durante sus últimos días de vida. Nos quedó un vacío inmenso en el alma, y muchas interrogantes, pero dejamos todo en las manos de Dios, el único capaz de saber y entender las acciones de los seres humanos. Valiente conoció en este mundo las dos caras de la vida; la buena y la mala, pero le damos gracias al cielo, que antes de cerrar sus ojitos, fue la cara buena de la vida la que lo acompañó.

Esta historia real, nos dejó un gran aprendizaje: “Son las acciones las que nos identifican como seres humanos, no nuestros pensamientos. A veces terminamos haciendo todo lo contrario de lo que pensamos, y es eso lo que en realidad le refleja al mundo, quiénes somos”.

BRAVE, THE TWO FACES OF LIFE

Today I want to tell you about a very emotional story that happened in my city about 3 months ago. I will briefly tell you the story of Valiente, the horse that appeared on the Paseo Virgen del Valle.

My city is a division between urban and plain areas, around the populated area there are many farms and desolate lands, as llaneros that we are, we are always in contact with cattle, horses and other farmyard animals. I am a lover and protector of animals, but of all, the one I love the most, is the horse, considering it a noble, pure, faithful being, for its elegance, its bearing, but above all for having a great heart, a spirit fighting, with an indescribable strength, and capable of giving man his greatest support in the strongest battles of life.
The being that owns a horse next to him is very lucky, he would never understand how someone could abandon to his destiny a being with such nobility in his soul.
Brave began to be news in our population, when some people warned through social networks that they had observed a horse walking alone along the Paseo de la Virgen del Valle, which is one of the emblematic places that the Tigre culture has, in honor of our patron, the Virgin of the Valley. Other users of the web stated that the animal was injured, but that they could not see it well because it was in the lot that was behind the walk. One of the foundations for the protection of animals that is in the city, responded to the call and they went out to look for him, but they could not find him despite the hours of searching. The next day, they continued the journey to find the horse, and finally they were able to find it behind a construction in the area. The animal was very badly injured, it had a large opening between its chest and belly, and it was very infected.

The rescuers exhausted all possible measures and managed to transfer him to a shed of a volunteer, and they proceeded to review the wound, his diet and other care to try to save him. The vet who treated him did not give much hope, the wound was very deep. During all that time nobody claimed the animal, despite the great publicity that we all gave to the situation, there was never someone who stated that the horse was his property and that it had escaped or something similar. They called him Brave, because only an animal with great courage could survive standing up to so much abuse and neglect. For everyone it was the saddest story, we could not conceive how someone could have had such a cold soul to leave that beautiful and noble being thrown to his fate, in the midst of such a dreadful tragedy. For many days the veterinarians, protectionists, and volunteers, did their best and put all the effort into the task of saving him, in some moments it was seen that he was responding to those efforts, but a day came when Valiente could not take it anymore, he lost the battle, he simply wanted to rest, and thank all the good people who helped him, the samples of love and kindness that they professed during his last days of life. We were left with an immense emptiness in our soul, and many questions, but we left everything in the hands of God, the only one capable of knowing and understanding the actions of human beings. Brave knew in this world the two faces of life; the good and the bad, but we thank heaven, that before closing his eyes, it was the good side of life that accompanied him.

This true story left us a great lesson: “It is our actions that identify us as human beings, not our thoughts. Sometimes we end up doing the opposite of what we think, and that is what really reflects to the world, who we are ”.
