I do not know too much about the history of those other splits, but were they community actions like Hive? We have shown we do not need a company behind us. I see some claiming it is some sort of oligarchy, but we may be more decentralised than most blockchains.

I do think the Hive whales need to consider how they can use their power to make this an attractive platform for creators. If they are seen to just self-vote and support their friends it reinforces some negative opinions.

I need to see if I can create Hive accounts. Previously I did it via Steemworld, but that may not get migrated as the developer was excluded from the airdrop.

It will be fun to watch the experiment continue. It feels we are closer to uncovering the true nature of this thing of ours.
