RE: Value Plan, DHF, HIVE inflation, Vibes & Holozing

So my concern would be just that... are these dapps actually built with the wider ecosystem focus, or with inward Hive focus.

From what I have seen, the two games that won the hackathons are built in such a way that they can be used to attract web2 users and can also be deployed on multiple chains.

But if wer spending 100k+ per year on the efforts to bring dapps like that here, we need to see some economic benefit from it imo

Exactly. We need to increase demand for $HIVE and dApps are just one of the many things that can help in this regard.

Vibes had no economic benefit. It just onboarded users and I fell into the trap of thinking "more users=better"

The idea that I had related to this was that the artists that you onboarded can battle each other and reach a wider audience through the game. They can gain popularity as the game grows and we can see movement in the game where people try to grab their cards by paying in $HIVE.

Yes thats what we need to do but onboarding dapps like this doesnt do that in any way on its own. Its everything after that matters.

And I am almost certain they dont have a business plan, enough development funding or a way to turn their game into something with visible economic benefit for Hive that would recoup the 100k+ and justify the spending.
We have to look beyond onboarding. We need to be asking if the spending done has generated any return on investment.

And I don't see it doing that.
