Improving My Hive Experience: Feeds, Delegations, and More

in #hive6 days ago

Greetings Hivers, it has been a while since I checked in, but here I am.

After spending a while on Hive, I realised my experience could use a little refresh. So I decided to make a few changes. Adjusting my feeds, revisiting delegations, and fine-tuning how I use the platform and get the most out of it, finding content and curating content that I enjoy.

The first thing I decided to change and actually finally make use of is the Lists feature. I tend to use PeakD the most, I find its interface very smooth, so I have prioritised that front end. I have separated users into lists and groups so I can find my friends easier that i have met and built solid relationships here with but also some lists for certain users and topics. This really is a game-changer for me as now I don't have to worry to much about missing out on posts as now even if I don't check Hive regularly, I can jump back in and search easier.

I have also been cleaning up my following list, not that I don't enjoy people's content, but I have realised that I follow a lot of inactive users who haven't posted in 4+ years, and for unknown reasons, some users have turned to spam and low-quality postings.

Another big change I’ve made is with my delegations. I hadn’t really paid much attention to that part of Hive before, but as my account grows, I feel it’s important to give back to those who’ve helped me along the way — and to support passionate users on their own journeys, especially newcomers. A positive experience for new users can make all the difference in whether they stick with Hive, so I’m doing what I can to help them succeed.

Some little changes but hopefully enough to make a big difference for me and make my time on hive more productive.

Thanks for reading.

Peakd does offer some nice functions to make things manageable and I hope they keep building on that. We need to be able to find the stuff we are interested in. I think communities should help with that, but some are just too busy. I created some that are very focused.

Have fun!

Yeah, Chris, I understand the follows big-time; I have not posted in almost two years (started to and have 4 or 5 drafts going) but have not had the commitment to write up something non-political.

I have had others unfollow both of my accounts because there are a lot following me and I follow literally everyone so their feed winds up being flooded by posts they will not even be interested in.

I have not yet figured out how to unfollow all of them at once and start from scratch as a lot of the new Hiveans drop off or stop posting for one reason or another.

Well, you are always welcome in The Terminal 24/7, you know how to get ahold of us and check in once in a while so we know you're good.
Take care and keep the rubber side down if you're still riding. 😆

Take care and check in soon my brother.

Hey James, great to hear from you! It looks like I accidentally unfollowed you (and a couple of others) by mistake. Unfollowing on Peakd is so tedious—non-stop clicking for almost an hour, haha.

will be checking in the terminal very soon my friend it is great to hear from you and yes wheels on the ground always haha

Seems like u unfollow lots haha.
Thats cool, welcome back to the posting side.

good to see you are taking back charge on your account, stay active and stack up some of our coins on hive engine to enjoy curation support from our community, we all know that the low price is discouraging almost everyone, but we know from previous experience its the best time to accumulate.
