Congrats on the sobriety man! That's amazing. I'm actually doing Sober October right now, and even before this I have only drank a minimal amount of alcohol for the last 3 or 4 months which is great, all minor social events.
I think sometimes we have to hit rock bottom in order to make meaningful change to ourselves. You certainly seem like you've done that, and come out on the other side with it which is really important. Lesser people have cracked!
Family law is indeed an absolutely disgusting racket that is meant to tear down men, especially given the tendency to dissolve masculinity in the world. I do not look forward to ever being there, but for sure take your experience as sadly a common one, the fuckers! It is unequivocally unconstitutional against the people that it's wielded on!
