Should I BTFD?

in #hive4 years ago

Are you HYPE on HIVE? Yes? No? The recent price dip has me thinking, maybe I should buy some HIVE or HBD.

What makes this any better than the original Steemit? Are there benefits to holding HIVE vs. STEEM at this point or is it just another huge mess waiting to happen? Are both platforms doomed? Or will there be an influx of new users on to HIVE?

What do you think HIVE will look like within the next year? Are we headed to the moon?

These are just some of the questions I keep asking myself lately.

I tend to be optimistic to a fault. I am really hoping this time will be different.

What are your thoughts on this new platform? I would love to hear some insider info and maybe learn some of the reasons HIVE will be a massive success.

All your thoughts and comments are appreciated! As well as your resteems/upvotes, of course!

Aloha!

I am more hopeful than optimistic about Hive. That will change if they fix the Witness Selection/retention system, if not, then it will just be another steem. If you have not looked over at @ionomy and read about their air drop, you might want to hold off on powering up until you do read it. Drop one seemed to go pretty good for a few.

I do not think that things will settle down on Steem for at least another two months if even then. To much and to many odd happenings.

I do not ahve a very large account, but I am powering down 2000 steem which I will move to Hive, still plan on leaving about 800 in steem to vote and as a just in case place thing if things do improve or if someone rescues steem. But it seems like steem is bound for the chopping block. I know Hive could end up that way also, but there seems to be much more hope of things working out.

Rumor control has it that steemmonsters may be trying to make the move, and that an equivalent Steem-Engine will be built on Hive. SMT's were almost done being tested on Steem, and there is some meandering chat and talk about transitioning it into a Hive Media Token (HMT).

So in conclusion, hold it liquid until you read @ionomy post.

I appreciate the input, thank you. Going to go and look for the post now.

In the world of cryptocurrencies, it is very difficult to predict the upcoming outcome. I can say for sure that STEEM has definitely ceased to be of any value.

Yeah, I pretty much figure the same thing, unfortunately. :(

I miss for your philosophy articles. Please us a them yet. Just on HIVE that manual curation thrives - a great reason to start.

I bought a little, now, can someone convince me to power it up?
