Memories of home!

in #hive3 months ago

My daughter is off to a cabin this weekend, she will be in our Canadian boreal forest on the lake. Here in the Yucatan our fresh water swimming is tucked away in cenotes. A cenote is the water exposed from the limestone collapsing and exposing the fresh water. Much of the Yucatan’s fresh water is in this hidden system. It’s stunning and the fresh water is a dream to this Canadian fish.

But we are not in the forest but the jungle. And while it is not rational I would test my luck in a forest of bears, moose and deer than a jungle with snakes, scorpions and spiders. Lol I am so happy she gets some lake life experiences. Here are some memories of home🙏❤️

Cenotes sound amazing! 🤩 Hope your daughter enjoys the boreal forest as much! 🐎

They are really nice, cold crystal clear water, and the depths can be endless. All interconnected via limestone tunnels and caverns. Lots of people scuba dive in the cenotes. This is not my photo but it looks like quite the experience and sight to behold.
