Hello EDS'ers. Today is the day we issue the EDS weekly report to keep all your guys up to date and let you know how things are going.
What are EDS tokens?
EDS tokens are HIVE income tokens that pays out weekly dividends every Monday based on 12% of the total power up the balance of the @eddie-earner account. This is currently paying out an APY to token holders of over 31%.
(Example of how the HIVE income pool is worked out)
- EDS is pegged to 1 HIVE per token
- 12% of over 104,000 HIVE POWER pays out (104,000*12/52.18) 240 per week
- EDS in circulation each yield (240/40,000) 0.006 HIVE per week
- 0.006 each week for 1 year (52.18) equals 0.31 HIVE
- 1 EDS pays out a HIVE income of roughly 31% per year
EDS tokens launched with a hardcap of 500,000 and a public sale of 20,000 tokens each issued for 1 HIVE each. There are 2 ways to mint new EDS tokens. 1 is by owning and staking either EDS miners (EDSM) are EDS mini miners (EDSMM) tokens and 2 is delegations HIVE POWER to @eds-vote. EDS Miners yield roughly 20% per year and EDS-vote yields around 4-5%.
EDS converts all earnings, airdrops, tribe tokens into HIVE. This account is 100% focused on powering up as much HIVE as possible. It's just that single-minded. This projects weekly saving club content is run by @shanibeer and wallet by @silverstackeruk both on behalf of SPinvest. This is a long term project and should be viewed as a token to stack up and HODL. Buy some miners, let them mint you some EDS tokens, build a pile and collect weekly HIVE dividends. In other words, buy some EDSM miners and forget about it. Add a few every week/month and watch your EDS pile grow. You can also buy EDS directly from the market, if you add a buy order for any amount at 1 HIVE each, it'll get filled. It might take a few days but it'll get filled as some miners like to sell their mining rewards right away to lock in them profits.

Lets get a look at the charts this week
359.68 EDS minted this week, pretty much the same as last week. We're getting close to having 45k EDS in circulation and we can expect this in 5ish weeks, than next will be 50k which will be cool cause that'll be 10% of the total supply out there.
We're starting to see some real progress in our HP each week. 1 year ago we had weekly growth of 60 HP, 6 months ago we were growing by 130 HP per week, 3 months ago 180 HP per week and this week 262 HP.
We do have a higher HP balance throughout the year from selling miners but the % of growth today vs 1 year is higher as well. Compounding is a hell of a thing.
This week HIVE income pool is dead on 245 HIVE. I missed my deadline last week to make payment, im sure some of you noticed. Im sorry about that and tonight's income payments will be this and last weeks to even everyone up.
Another week and another decline of 0.18%. This is good that it is the same as last week and @eds-vote is starting to make an incredible impact on EDS's APY. We've already seen the APY decline reduce from 0.24% to 0.18% per week. As we continue to drop to 0.17, 0.16 etc., it will take longer each time. We might be on a decline of 0.18% per week for 1 month and then 0.17% for 5 weeks, 0.16% for 6 weeks, you get the idea.
The point is it'll take longer each time we reduce the decline until we hit 0%. When we hit 0%, the EDS APY will become stable and stay like that for 5-8+ months before the flip and the APY starts to increase. Once that train gets started, ain't nothing stopping it.
BTW, when I say 0%, I mean the EDS APY will neither decline are increase. I do not mean the EDS APY will be 0%. If the EDS APY is at 20.23% when the EDS APY decline hits 0%, the EDS APY bottom will be 20.23% and it'll stay there for a while before it starts to increase.
How do you build a HIVE income that only ever increases over time?
If the EDS project sounds right up your street, there are 2 ways to get your hands on EDS tokens. Building a HIVE income is one of those things when it's better to get started sooner than later. We all put money aside for a pension/old age with the money we earn from jobs, why not do the same with blockchain earnings? If blockchain is the future, why not be playing the game of life 3 steps ahead of everyone else? There's no day like day to start increasing your income and the snowball effect is real when you have patience.

Weekly Roundup
Another kick-ass week for EDS. We're powering up decent amounts, the EDS mintage numbers are consistent and I've remembered to ship the income payment this week.
As some of you will be aware, I've always wanted an HBD token for EDS but have never been able to think up a model to sustainability compete with the HBD 20%. Having launched @eds-vote and seeing how much support it gets and how people love minting EDS, gives me the confidence to open up the door to think outside the box a little more.
I would like to create an EDS HBD token that the Saturday Savers club could use to save each day/week that pays out EDS for holding it. Of course it would be open to all but it would have to have some direct positive effect on EDS itself much like @eds-vote does. Anyway, im thinking about new stuff again and if something were to be launched, it would be an HBD token in December before the new year starts for the Saturday Savers. If you have any input or ideas, please share them below.

It'll not be as consistent as eds-vote because the hbd > hive ratio plays a part but it'll be another way to issue some EDS and of course hopefully increase the HP further as eds-vote has done.

I know, i keep forgetting that 20% paid in HIVE is really good. I like INCOME tokens and they pay out like 8% and i think that good. When i see the APY drop each week, i sorta auto think its not doing that great but EDS kills it.
We're deffo a sleeper project :)
