Hello EDS'ers. Today is the day we issue the EDS weekly report to keep all your guys up to date and let you know how things are going.
What are EDS tokens?
EDS tokens are HIVE income tokens that pays out weekly dividends every Monday based on 12% of the total power up the balance of the @eddie-earner account. This is currently paying out an APY to token holders of over 31%.
(Example of how the HIVE income pool is worked out)
- EDS is pegged to 1 HIVE per token
- 12% of over 104,000 HIVE POWER pays out (104,000*12/52.18) 240 per week
- EDS in circulation each yield (240/40,000) 0.006 HIVE per week
- 0.006 each week for 1 year (52.18) equals 0.31 HIVE
- 1 EDS pays out a HIVE income of roughly 31% per year
EDS tokens launched with a hardcap of 500,000 and a public sale of 20,000 tokens each issued for 1 HIVE each. There are 2 ways to mint new EDS tokens. 1 is by owning and staking either EDS miners (EDSM) are EDS mini miners (EDSMM) tokens and 2 is delegations HIVE POWER to @eds-vote. EDS Miners yield roughly 20% per year and EDS-vote yields around 4-5%.
EDS converts all earnings, airdrops, tribe tokens into HIVE. This account is 100% focused on powering up as much HIVE as possible. It's just that single-minded. This projects weekly saving club content is run by @shanibeer and wallet by @silverstackeruk both on behalf of SPinvest. This is a long term project and should be viewed as a token to stack up and HODL. Buy some miners, let them mint you some EDS tokens, build a pile and collect weekly HIVE dividends. In other words, buy some EDSM miners and forget about it. Add a few every week/month and watch your EDS pile grow. You can also buy EDS directly from the market, if you add a buy order for any amount at 1 HIVE each, it'll get filled. It might take a few days but it'll get filled as some miners like to sell their mining rewards right away to lock in them profits.

Lets get a look at the charts this week
We minted and issued 367 EDS this week. With the EDS miner mintage at a set amount and eds-vote levelling off, the weekly mintage number is becoming more consistent. From the 367 EDS minted this week, 296 came from EDS miners and 71 from @eds-vote.
- EDS miner mintage of 296 per week (both miners combined) is set in stone until we run out of allocated EDS tokens in 18-22 years.
- EDS-vote mintage is variable cause it can increase or decrease depending on how much HP has been delegated in. We currently have over 30 years for @eds-vote rewards but if the amount of HP being delegated in doubles in the next 1-2 years, the allocated EDS would only last 15 years.
I know you look at the chart above and think, boring!! You see the increase and slow and steady and its not exciting but let me share a few numbers that are exciting. The HP growth this week was 246. HA, i have just seen something that is very funny. The timing to share this is unreal and we can kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
Ok, so the eddie-earners HP balance grew by 246 HP this week. The HIVE income pool this week was 245.57 this week so pretty much the same. This is what is funny. We know that the HIVE income pool is set to APY 12% of the eddie-earner HP balance so when I saw we powered up 246 HIVE, I instantly knew the account growth was 12%, baa-haha. Ok, maybe not funny for you but the chances of the HP growth and income pool would be the same are very slim.
I'll work it out anyways, measure twice, cut once are something?
246 HP * 52.18 weeks = 12,836 per year
12,836 per year / 106,776 HP = 12.02%
Perfect.
The point is the EDS HP balance is growing by 12% per year even after paying out EDS HIVE incomes. I projected a min of 3% and a max of 6% growth per year when EDS first launched. So, the chart may look boring but that 12% compounding baby, give it a few years and we'll go moon ways.
Not as much to say here. This increases each week and this week it increased by 0.57 HIVE. This chart mirrors the HP balance chart because the HIVE income pool is equal to 12% APY of the EDS HP balance.
Another week, another dip. We've been dropping for over 6 months now, every week, every hour technically. Thats funny to think about, the EDS has not had a + APY minute for over 6 hours, just all 100% downhill. It all downhill for over 6 months and still better than anything else out there. Trading for 50% over peg and paying out over 29% APY.
I wonder what will happen when the EDS APY start to increase. 🎉🔥😎
How do you build a HIVE income that only ever increases over time?
If the EDS project sounds right up your street, there are 2 ways to get your hands on EDS tokens. Building a HIVE income is one of those things when it's better to get started sooner than later. We all put money aside for a pension/old age with the money we earn from jobs, why not do the same with blockchain earnings? If blockchain is the future, why not be playing the game of life 3 steps ahead of everyone else? There's no day like day to start increasing your income and the snowball effect is real when you have patience.
