Some information about all the goodness to come!

Hello EXODE captains!

We are now approaching April 30th and I wanted to reveal to you some good things and some dates.

Some dates first!

  • Apr 28th: More referral bonuses deployed!
    These are our second batch of bonuses deployed.

  • Apr 29th: Browser version (of playable alpha) enters our Testroom.
    Please note it should require a good connection, but should work on all platforms.

  • Apr 30th: Playable alpha can be tested (with some less bugs than first version).
    This is our BIG date.

  • Early May: More specifics are released in playable alpha; such as testing your Special Crew and deploying a Kilbot to clean that cargo bay of its looters; and using your escorts!

Our priority

Right now, my priority is to make sur April 30th has less bugs than our version deployed on April 26th.

During the next two/three days, I would like to work entirely on that.
I realized it is the only responsible way to give us some good progress, as we are, first, a game.

About cards

Nevertheless, there are other things I want to share with you all.

Initially I wanted to share the whole collection very soon, and this still might be possible. I'll work on bugfixes first, and then I'll release our collection. (hopefully Apr 29th or before)

This is when you will know about all the "list of cards" to be found!
But I can show you a few things already.
Here is a sample of our cards:

This one is a Ship, and it uses a different template than some other cards, but that should give you a glimpse of what to expect.

The 'Baldie' is a very small ship. There will be an achievement in EVAC for surviving with it!

The lower left score is the Crew size.
The lower right score is the Equipment Set size; this is a slot to customize the vessel equipment.
The two little scores are Structure (resistance, 2) and Stealth (8).

Spaceships also have a lot of secondary stats, such as installed modules etc, all of which will be deployed to the wiki in May and refined during testing.

And here is one of the legendary arts; meaning one of the "specials".
(legendaries often need the best ones)

The Rebel General, by Zdenek Sasek.

This crew belongs to another faction (the Rebels) but can be included in any ship.

The General is an expert spy and can "sniff out" people with hidden agendas. That's a colonization advantage to make sure citizens don't do bad things.

He can also lead other Rebels efficiently. Now, the problem is: who is making sure the General himself does not have a plan?

EXODE already scored a number of deadlines; there is something EXODE must aim at now, and it is to begin gaining in quality.

We are only 2-3 days before our Apr 30th moment and I think people need to see a little less bugs than on our first version; the tutorial must work for almost all without problems, and some things need big fixes.

Once April 30th is behind us, the next big moment will be our Card Opening.

So far we have always deployed a feature in the testroom before release (on our Discord) and I think we should continue that way.

So, basically, it means Card Opening will happen a few days after Apr 30th, to make sure I get time to make all cards correctly and we get to test it. Doing otherwise would destroy all chances to have less bugs in our alpha... and I don't want that for our game!

Card Opening also means some more stress-test on our Market.

Meanwhile, not only will you receive all information about the card collection - but also, we'll give you more time to take all this information and make some decisions about boosters.

The price increase happens on April 30th, yes, definitely. But we won't increase price on our boosters; keeping them at 2 USD until card opening happens, +48 hours.

This means you'll have a chance to open your boosters, see what is there, enjoy it, and see what can be purchased from players!

I am working all I can to make sure we get everything; with the playable alpha comes some responsibility I think, to fix some bugs and make it better.

Playable alpha will still connect to your pack very soon, as these are fixed contents.

EXODE is a space colonization game powered by the HIVE blockchain.

It is currently in playable alpha (although very early there) and accepts STEEM coins, HIVE coins and paypal. Playing only needs a starter at 5 USD.

Great progress on game. I just hopped in.

To be honest I had doubts at first when I read about intended scope and short deadlines, but what I've seen so far convinced me.
Love the manifesto and you have my respect for actually keeping deadlines, which is sadly rare in games today.

Can't wait for alpha release :)

I`m very-very-very-very glad!!!

I like the desing of the card but has me thinking if so much numbers without a way to differenciate them isn't too complex. I guess that the upper left number is the cost of playing the card, usual in these type of card games. But without some icon that allow the players to know well which are the stats may be confusing.

The general has a great artwork as always, remembers me a bit to Chuck Norris lol, congrats guys.

I planned to upgrade the template with more symbols/writing, after Apr 30th.

The upper left score is actually the "Quality Level" of the card (QL).

In EXODE, a card is played during EVAC, to generate your game asset. This means this Shuttle card, is used to generate an actual shuttle. The QL here gives an information about the average quality of the generated ship.

Nice!. The numbers on the cards should be in different colours to make it easier to know which stat is which.

Amazing card design! I will defiantly have to give that one a try in evac, I love a challenge. Can’t wait to see the rest of the collection!

The alpha is coming out after April 30?

The alpha is there on April 30th!
And playable on browser too.

The card opening is when you open your boosters and receive a great lot of single cards. And, then quite possibly, trade a lot of them, and use them in EVAC too as soon as possible.

Oh ok. Thanks for clearing that up. I'm so excited!

At the moment yes @darrenfj, and it's a much better way to receive player feedback and bug reports!

And so much energy to feel with all captains testing with you!

However this will change tomorrow as an access to the alpha version will then be permanently added to your collection page, at the end of the day.
