Glad to inspire more discussion with my recent post and as stated in the comments of that, I'm with @acidyo stating that price is a very important factor for investment. There are different ways to approach a blockchain and one of those could very well be the grandeur that is community and decentralization but-
I come from a different sector and that is the investment branch that helps to hold it altogether. I like building things, truly, I do. Helped to build several things around here but you want to know where my very first community took hold?
I announced it here for people to join and socialize on Facebook. Ya, I know right? There it grew. And then, somebody mentioned this discord thing and we moved over there. So, as for community being on Hive - the blockchain, not HIVE the crytpocurrency - let's not mistake the two, it really isn't. There were even a few HiveFests that weren't built directly from the chain, but instead, I had to jump through hoops of a different virtual venue. #justsayin
The whole point of my post, is what Acid also said, we need the userbase and to get that, we have to market ourselves. Organic is not going to happen, or else it would have already.
I strongly believe we have to keep inviting users, even at a cost (poshtoken's been building some hp for that for instance, or the DHF, both when things are a bit greener) and then let the network effect do it's thing or just never stop inviting. Every 100 users we invite I'm sure a few will stay and understand why stake is important in more ways than a few, everything else is noise that most will forget before the next hardfork.

I tell just about everyone that shows a partial interest and pull up a post or two to show them and then let them browse. It's still a rocky onboarding process, but I have my fingers crossed that eventually - we'll get there.
I built lite accounts into lumensocial.net. Use it. We cant complain about onboarding anymore. I did that for years.

Now that Hive has lite accounts, you have somewhere to send them. ;)
So its not just Reddit views that will almost certainly never convert to any users when the link to the wrong frontend is posted.
