How kind of you to mention me! Our journeys have been running in parallel for so many years. I'll never forget how supportive you were of my writing early on. I can't believe what a roller coaster ride these past five years have been but what an amazing, mind blowing experience! Hive really does feel infinitely more stable than Steemit ever did.

I loved the early days of steemit, but it was definitely the very description of a rollercoaster ride- an unpredictable, loop de loop haha! I have to agree, Hive definitely seems much more stable, more of a lazy river with the occasional spray from the side 😆.
I do wonder about those just discovering a crypto blogging platform.. perhaps their experience here is just as exciting? It may be that it's no longer new to us, like visiting the desert when we've been many times, as opposed to the first one.
I spend a lot of time thinking of the things and people I have to be grateful for, and you are firmly on that list :)
The early days of Steemit will be remembered as one of the most exciting times of my life, for sure. It was the culmination of so many long-held dreams.

LOL, that is just about the most perfect analogy I've heard yet!
I bet Hive is just as exciting to some newer users as it was for us. I would imagine the Hive income for those bloggers from other parts of the developing world (South America, Eastern Europe, Africa) could be as life-changing as Steemit was for us.
It's so good to take that time to be grateful. I try to do that every day. After five years this new life still sometimes feels like a dream. I hope I never fully get used to it because it would be less enjoyable then. I am flattered, you are on my list as well. Enjoy your weekend!
