Amber Fort – Jaipur

in #hive3 years ago (edited)

Amber Fort is close to Jaipur in the Amer, a small town nearby.

It was built by Raja Man Singh I combining both Hindu and Rajput architectural elements. Like all monuments in India, it amazes you with its grandeur!

You can choose to climb the hill on the elephant or you can take a walk to the top. The ride with the elephant lasts about 15 minutes, is controlled and regulated by the state, tourists are asked not to feed the elephants and especially not to offer tips!
As we arrived in the courtyard of the palace we rushed to the first cafe found open! What is the morning if we don't season it with a coffee in the palace courtyard? This cafe (I think the only one) is a lovely place, if you arrive in Jaipur, you can take 30 minutes to pamper yourself.

Amber Palace is built of pale pink and yellow stone with white marble. Divided into four sections, each with its own inner courtyard. The construction of the palace began in the 16th century and was completed around 1800. Each new generation also brought changes in appearance.
Here you will find the largest palace of mirrors in the world, the second being the Versailles castle in France.
The garden in the central courtyard was designed to look like a Persian rug.

While walking here I couldn't help but say to myself: what a lovely pink city!
