Stories on Hive

in #hive3 years ago

I had an idea that might be interesting

What about creating a "Stories" interface for Hive GUIs like the biggest social medias are already doing?

It could be done by specifying a simple custom JSON pattern for an IPFS media file to be stored by the node and shown by the interface only for 24 hours. If the user wishes to keep the story media file available for longer, just install a local IPFS node and pin it, but the story file won't be shown in any interface.

Hive Interfaces would only show stories posted by the user in the last 24 hours. It wouldn't affect reward polls as it is stored in a custom JSON.

Of course, before this it would be necessary to create a mobile interface that is easier for the common user to navigate.

This was just an idea. Sorry if anything here might sound lame or stupid.

Vote for me as your Hive Witness

Hi @fernandosoder I am a big user of HiveTasks and a witness like you.
I noticed something in the witness section labelled "Last Aslot" underneath "Last confirmed block number"

I think this should be labelled "Next allocated slot" but am not quite sure.
This is useful for low level witnesses like us so we can do any quick witness maintenance between allocated slots so we don't miss blocks.

Build it, and we will use it.
Well, if you can get them to understand it's usefulness.
