It feels amazing to reach this awesome milestone. If I have to go back 8 years and look at what I expected about my first interactions on this chain. Damn! GOO look... You will be feeling so weird! But you might also feel some extra connection to what I was trying to do back then.
π 8 Years is a π± LOT!
I never "depended" (aka vouched for being decentralised/independent) on many people, because of how I feel and am... here or elsewhere! But I can say that this chain took a special place in my π (heart) that no one can steal... It's not just the people who, of course, have the majority of the impact on the way I can experience things (example).
IT'S THE WHOLE thing... the motivation, the endurance, the cross borders thing, the fighting against any negativity or/and useless "noise", the constructive building π₯Ή... It's the voice! - some will recognize.
I am here BECAUSE I WANT! π - the true power of these words will eventually make sense one day to everyone...
(a sense of my power UPs since when I started this journey)
And that, I am pretty sure, π it's me!
You might need a lot of proof to verify... and I have crossed many amazing (and some not that much, yes) people on Hive and on cryptocurrency technology in general. But I have also learned a lot from everyone here... and elsewhere... and I would definitely not be the person I am today without the many experiences people allowed me to live around Hive.

And yes, I have done some tiny bits and things, here and there, some know, some don't, that being code bug fixing on some of the most well-known open source apps, or just testing, tiny things (from just pointing stuff to helping with some minor improvements). Not worth my "grabbing about it", but something I really felt great doing because the reward for me on those things was to participate and learn. For free, no questions asked...

I am sure many will identify with this feeling. Even if it's QUITE an EXTRAVAGANT thing nowadays!

Moving to 5 digits is not too difficult to achieve on Hive, 7 is a tall order that only a handful can get and most don't dare to think about. 6 digits, on the other hand takes a bit of persistence and faith but once you get there, it's such a great sense of achievement. I still remember mine a while ago, and I hope you're enjoying your special moment. Well done!!!

I did a mix of many things... 8 years is a lot of time. :P But I can say, that because I hardly withdraw anything (if I did, I probably over compensated with depositing), that compounds in the long term.

I am curious about your "quick learning about Hive" experience.
I've been in crypto for a long time, had heard of Hive / Steem before but never really knew what it was about. I spoke with a friend a few months ago who used to be active here so I downloaded Ecency to try it out. I'm looking to build products in the crypto space and I wanna figure out ways to create more exposure for Hive. Still some exploration and thinking that need to be done...

Well... home address ISP is amazing... I can't argue with that. Cheap and amazing... zero complaints since moving from cable to fibre.
I can go up to 10Gb at any moment... There are conversations for 100Gb connections on the speaking (these are likely over 1kNZD/month things)... and if so, I need to create a company!
The network over here is quite nice, even if latency is a big challenge!
