Yeah... my previous last paragraph was assuming long periods = 1 year... but using the so called inverted exponential curve.

While I do like exponential stuff it's again a concept only appreciated by nerds. It would be yet another thing that makes this place not intuitive.

Naaaahh... it's very simple to explain exponential things... "See, for example... punching... it's exponential :P" Everyone knows about it... so there you go...
Vote decay "a la" inverted punching style...
In a normal punching style your force (voting) is bigger when your arm is fully retracted while initiating the punch. So, in an inverted punching style is the opposite... you always want to punch with your arm already fully extended, keeping your voting power always at max. With time, your arm will retract making your vote less powerful, the more force you feel you can punch while your arm is retracting the less powerful your vote will become.
